Although it is only about a year before the official debut of the Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X, and it is still difficult to buy, Microsoft is reportedly already working on two new models. The news said that an updated version of the Xbox Series S will appear at the end of 2022. If the revelations are reliable, then Microsoft is likely to update the extremely powerful Xbox Series X in 2023.
While much of the features are currently unknown, that doesn't stop graphic designer Jermaine Smit (aka Concept Creator) from creating his own Xbox Series X Elite concept design. On December 16, Letsgodigital released this set of renderings.
The first thing to clarify is that it is unclear which name Microsoft will use to put the new console on the market in 2017 called Xbox One X, followed by Xbox Series X. So next Microsoft may choose the name "X" again. For convenience, the designers named the console Xbox Series X Elite to indicate that it is positioned higher.
Renderings show that Microsoft's Xbox Series X Elite retains straight lines unique to the X Series. But the console is flatter, so it's easier to store in a TV cabinet. By applying a beveled design, this gaming device looks even more playful and refined. LED lighting on both sides makes the machine look tougher. On the right front of the device is a large power button with the corresponding Xbox logo. On the left are a CD slot, an eject button, and four USB ports.
There is a row of wide circular vents on the top, sides and back of the console to ensure that the gaming pc does not overheat during long periods of gaming. The back also provides space for the necessary ports and connections. Like the Xbox Series X, it has a total of six ports: one for the power cord, one Ethernet port, two USB 3.1 ports, one HDMI 2.1 port, and finally an expansion port for storage.
According to the news, the updated version of the Xbox Series X will feature AMD's new 6nm APU, which will support higher clock speeds. The updated Xbox Series S will also be more powerful than its predecessor. The latter is expected to launch at the end of 2022 and is reportedly priced at $350 (about 2,200 yuan), which is very competitive. There is currently no information on the price of the Xbox Series X successor. In the coming months, though, there's no doubt that more information about the Xbox consoles under development will be revealed.
