The Xbox Series X|S sold more than 12 million units in one year of launch

Also released in the next-generation consoles of late 2020, consumers seem to have an easier time buying xbox series X or Series S than the PlayStation 5, while Xbox head Phil Spencer confirmed in a previous interview with The New York Times that the Xbox Series X|S is Microsoft's fastest-selling console ever, even surpassing the Xbox 360.

While Microsoft didn't release actual sales figures for xbox series X and Series S, Niko Partners analyst Daniel Ahmad, a major gaming industry, believes that overall shipments of both consoles have exceeded 12 million units so far. With supply chain issues and severe chip shortages, the Xbox Series X|S was able to achieve such a good result, Ahmad believes it is related to Microsoft's dual-machine parallel strategy.

Ahmad pointed out that the increase in Xbox Series S production has allowed more Xbox Series main features to be on the shelves, and if Microsoft had only launched the Series X in the first place, the situation may not be too optimistic. Spencer said in an interview that the next generation of game consoles is difficult to find, not because of too little supply, but because of too much demand, he stressed that the supply is as large as the previous consoles, but people's demand exceeds the supply, but unlike Sony to continue to produce PS4, Microsoft has discontinued the Xbox One and focused on the new Xbox Series console from 2020.
