Since the first second-generation substation was launched on April 15 this year, a total of 500 substations have been put on line in 239 days, and the number of construction in 2021 has increased by nearly 10 times compared with last year. It is undeniable that Wei Lai, who has successfully survived the darkest moments and eased up, is still taking out real money and silver to do this.
In contrast, Tesla, Xiaopeng, Nezha, including geeks, Volkswagen, GM and other car companies, are also sparing no effort to expand their own charging networks. The fundamental reason behind this is that no one wants to fall behind in the process of seizing the opportunity.
However, for more new energy vehicle companies that have not made similar choices, if they consider the problem from their point of view, I believe that everyone understands the truth, but due to the limitation of resources, it is difficult to make up your mind and make a decision to break and stand up. Moreover, they are also gambling on the current Chinese new energy market, and the construction speed of public energy replenishment networks is enough to meet the needs of users.
But the real situation, in the eyes of many onlookers, is far from meeting expectations.
Recently, according to the operation of charging and replacing infrastructure in November released by the China Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Promotion Alliance, in November 2021 compared with October 2021, public charging piles increased by 30,000 units, an increase of 57.1% year-on-year in November.
As of November 2021, a total of 1.092 million public charging piles have been reported by member units of the alliance. Among them, there are 450,000 DC charging piles, 646,000 AC charging piles, and 406 AC and DC integrated charging piles. From December 2020 to November 2021, about 33,000 new public charging piles will be added every month.
Among them, Guangdong, Shanghai, Beijing, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong, Hubei, Anhui, Henan, Fujian TOP10 areas, the construction of public charging infrastructure accounted for 71.7%.
From January to November, the increase in charging infrastructure was 704,000 units, and the increase in public charging infrastructure increased by 59.1% year-on-year. But what needs to be vigilant is that there are still many challenges to overcome if we want to achieve a real transformation.

In fact, in order to quickly occupy the market, many third-party charging pile companies did not consider the actual needs of users too much when they entered the market, but chose to release the type. Ironically, China's charging pile ownership ranks first in the world, but as of now, the utilization rate of public charging piles is less than 20%.
Many times, in many places, dedicated charging parking spaces can only be reduced to fuel vehicle parking lots. At the same time, the use experience of public charging piles is uneven, and it is also a pain point that has to be faced. Travel to many third- and fourth-tier cities to find that because of the long-term lack of maintenance, the efficiency and quality of public charging piles are difficult to be well guaranteed, and even cause damage to charging vehicles.
"There are not many piles, it is easy to use!"
As the title of this article says, the surge in the total number of charging piles is still accompanied by a variety of chaos. There is no doubt that the "drawbacks" of barbaric growth are emerging. Next, how to rationalize and rationalize the construction of public energy replenishment networks will be the most urgent task.
And it is foreseeable that as more and more car companies begin to build their own energy networks, the charging pile industry is bound to usher in a reshuffle. At the government level, the introduction of relatively complete regulations and systems to reasonably solve the real "energy replenishment anxiety" of new energy users is also the key.
Otherwise, the node that is always mentioned to "subvert the traditional fuel vehicle" will not be supported by the high-quality energy replenishment system, when will it come? No one can give a definitive answer.
