Recently, in order to further pay attention to the problem of stroke, the World Wind Organization (WSO) announced the establishment of a new branch: the Pre-hospital Medical Working Group, and appointed Professor Zhao Jing of Fudan University and Professor Liu Renyu of the University of Pennsylvania as the co-chair of the organization's pre-hospital medical working group. The working group is composed of experts from 7 countries around the world engaged in the field of stroke prevention and control, and Professor Li Dou, director of the Beijing Emergency Center and chairman of the Emergency Branch of the Chinese Stroke Society, is also one of the standing committee members of the working group.
This marks that in recent years, China's experts have paid attention to pre-stroke medical treatment, China Stroke 120 Special Action and International Stroke Identification Tool (Stroke 112) have been effective, and the contributions of Chinese scholars in the field of stroke in the world have attracted more and more attention from the world, and also indicate that relevant experts around the world attach great importance to pre-stroke treatment and related problems.
It is urgent to solve the delay before the stroke hospital! Zhao Jing will work with nine experts in the field of stroke prevention and control from 7 countries around the world to focus on key issues related to pre-hospital medical treatment of stroke and reduce the burden of stroke worldwide.
The World Wind Organization (WSO) is the only global organization dedicated to stroke, with thousands of individuals and members of 90 institutions around the world, including stroke societies around the world, representing more than 55,000 stroke specialists engaged in clinical and scientific research worldwide. The mission of the World Windfall Organization's Pre-Hospital Care Working Group (WSOTPC) includes raising awareness of first aid and prevention of stroke, optimizing pre-hospital care processes, advocating for national and local policy improvements, improving the transition from pre-hospital to inpatient care, and working to improve the quality of pre-hospital care for stroke.
Zhao Jing said that stroke is a disease with extremely high morbidity, disability rate and mortality in China, and through drug thrombolysis and catheter thrombolysis treatment, most patients can stand up again and act as usual. Unfortunately, many patients do not understand stroke, thinking that a rest will be better, missed the best treatment time of 4.5 hours, thus leaving a lifetime regret of disability.
"Stroke 120" related science is Professor Zhao Jing of Fudan University and Professor Liu Renyu of the University of Pennsylvania in the United States specifically designed for this problem, published in The Lancet Neurology.
"1 look - 1 face is asymmetrical, the corners of the mouth are crooked. 2 check - two arms, unilateral weakness, can not be lifted. 0 (listening) Listening - speaking slurred, do not understand", if any of the above symptoms suddenly occur, immediately call the emergency number 120.
Such a grounded identification method is simple and easy to understand, suitable for all ages. In recent years, after continuous publicity, the concept of "Stroke 120" has been gradually promoted in China, and has attracted great attention and praise from the international medical community. In order to make "Stroke 120" more deeply rooted in the hearts of the people, from micro-videos to micro-movies, from popular science comics to stroke 120 songs, fire dance performances, as long as you can think of the way of popular science, Zhao Jing is willing to try, and even personally appear on camera, personally dubbed, in order to let more people master the stroke recognition method. For this reason, she was once misunderstood as a "doctor who does not do his job".
Micro-video is the most widely used and widely used of these popular science methods, and more than 30 dialect versions have been launched so far, and the Tibetan version and Uyghur language version have also been produced and will be launched soon. The content of the video is also various, including classic version, children's version, sand painting version, surgical version, atrial fibrillation version, trap version and so on. Zhao Jing and her team also launched a three-dimensional training - training community doctors, setting up a group of lecturers to train residents, and training students.
With the efforts of Zhao Jing and her team, "Stroke 120" has been applied in more than 1,500 hospitals across the country, and its rewritten 5 expert consensus and guidelines related to stroke emergency have been highly recognized by experts, and won the second prize of Shanghai Science and Technology, and the main micro-film has also won the Humanitarian Award of the New York International Film Festival and the Excellent Public Welfare Works of the Shanghai Public Welfare Micro Film Festival.
After several years of popular science publicity, the effect gradually appeared. As a pilot area, the pre-hospital delay of stroke in Minhang area dropped significantly, the arrival rate within 3 hours rose from the original 26.9% to 34.7%, and the thrombolysis rate reached 9%, far higher than the national average of 2.6%, saving a large number of stroke patients. At present, this model is being promoted nationwide.
For example, Zhao Jing said that recently, 75-year-old Zhou Laobo suddenly could not move his right limb while cooking at home, and his grandson was a fan of "Stroke 120", immediately judged that it might be a stroke, and quickly dialed 120 to send it to the Min Center. Through the 120 information green channel with the hospital, the patient quickly entered the examination green channel after arriving at the hospital, and found that it was an acute thrombosis of the left internal carotid artery, and because the thrombus was too large, the thrombosis surgery was performed immediately. Less than an hour after arriving at the hospital, a nearly 10-centimeter blood clot was removed, and before he could get off the operating table, the patient was able to lift the hands and feet on the paralyzed side and walk on the ground the next day.
"Being a co-chair is not only an honor, but also a responsibility." Zhao Jing said that focusing on "stroke 120" science popularization for more than 5 years, the biggest hope is that one day this simple and easy-to-operate rapid life-saving method can enter thousands of households and become an essential skill that everyone can master.
"Clinical to do, science to do more, stroke this disease is not a problem that can be solved by doctors alone, we call for people from all walks of life to participate together, in order to solve the problem of pre-hospital treatment of stroke." Zhao Jing said.
