Liu Bang also regretted a little, feeling sorry for Bo Ji, and summoned her to bed that night. After this time, Bo Ji became pregnant and gave birth to a son, Liu Heng. At the age of eight, Liu Heng was made the Acting King, and later became Emperor Wen of Han. After having a son, Liu Bang forgot Bo Ji again, and she could no longer see Liu Bang.
After Liu Bang's death, Lü Hou dealt with Liu Bang's favorite concubines fiercely, and the methods were very vicious, the most famous of which was Lady Yanqi. But Bo Ji was not Liu Bang's favorite concubine at all, but she had a name, and it was estimated that she and Liu Bang had never met each other. Therefore, With a big wave of her hand, Lü Hou allowed her to leave the palace to go to Liu Heng's feudal state, and Bo Ji became the empress dowager.
