Sanxingdui is located 7 kilometers east of GuanghanCheng, Sichuan, belongs to the ancient Shu culture, sanxingdui ruins are more than 800 years earlier than the Xia Dynasty, since 1929, local farmers in a taogou accidentally discovered the jade hook, Sanxingdui cultural sites have reappeared in the sky.
After the 1950s, the archaeology of Sanxingdui was carried out successively, but the scale was not large, until after the 80s, large-scale excavations began, and a large number of cultural relics unearthed in it attracted the attention of the international archaeological community, but with the deepening, the archaeology of Sanxingdui stopped, why is this?
Since the discovery of Sanxingdui, archaeology has been carried out for more than 70 years, and two large sacrificial pits have been excavated in 1986, and thousands of bronzes, gold and jade tools have been excavated from the Sanxingdui sacrifice pit, the most distinctive of which are three or four hundred bronzes.
Bronzes are mostly tall, exaggerated as the characteristics, the second sacrifice pit excavated liren bronze statue is as high as 2.62 meters, weighing more than 180 kilograms, and its hand seems to be around what, but the specific is unknown, such a tall bronze statue even in the Shang Dynasty bronze culture is unique.
It is worth noting that the excavation of Sanxingdui civilization, "eyes" seem to be crucial, each extra-large bronze mask, the pupils will protrude forward, and even the columns with protruding eyes reach 9 centimeters, in the records of the ancient Shu culture, "Shu Hou silkworm bush, its eyes are longitudinal, the beginning is called the king", longitudinal, probably the ancient Shu people's worship of the ancient Shu king.
Another layer of worship, is the worship of the sun, the bronze statue of The Great Liren in the middle of the head, there is a sign similar to the sun, it stands in the center of the bronze position, it may be exercising the duties of the sun god, or it is itself the sun god, the ancient Shu people are very worshipful of the sun. The bronze sun wheel is probably the most mysterious artifact of Sanxingdui.
Sun worship is rare in Eastern history, Western mythology about the sun worship is very much, especially bronze statues, golden rods and Mayan culture, ancient Egyptian culture is very close, so sanxingdui may be foreign culture, or sanxingdui is the center of the world pilgrimage?
With such doubts, not only sun worship and some culture, but more than 5,000 sea shells and more than 60 tusks, according to the identification, these sea shells originated from the Indian Sea, and in the uninhabited ancient Shu era, the sea shells of the Indian Sea appeared, which is enough to cause a lot of doubts.
The cultural relics unearthed at Sanxingdui have subverted every archaeologist, and it is difficult to imagine how thousands of years of undocumented things were formed, and at the same time, in order to protect the cultural relics underground, they stopped continuing to excavate.
