According to the main creative team, the second season of the program first ensures diversity and compartmentalization in the arrangement of heritage sites, such as the Shang Dynasty civilization site Yin Ruins, the ceramic industry heritage Jingdezhen Royal Kiln Site, the cultural and natural double heritage Wuyi Mountain, the ancient human site Zhoukoudian, etc.; more importantly, a selection criterion is the current "activation" of the World Heritage Site, such as Jingdezhen, the world's "Jingdrift" land, Quanzhou, which inherits the code of trade and culture, and the Dazu stone carvings that reflect the aesthetics of Tang and Song dynasty life. The program hopes to link history, the present and the future by awakening the cultural feelings of "civilian ignorance".

Correspondingly, in terms of route theme planning, this season's program emphasizes the theme focus, portraying the richness of Chinese heritage site culture from multiple dimensions such as humanistic aesthetics, history and culture, and biological nature, such as Zhoukoudian focusing on the origin of mankind, the covenant of music staged in WuyiShan, the aesthetic perspective conveyed by Dazu Stone Carvings, and the central axis of Beijing's upcoming application for heritage focusing on its planning and pattern.

Compared with the first season, the second season focuses on allowing the audience to understand and inherit the World Heritage, and deeply stimulate the sense of mission of young people. "I have a wish to integrate world heritage into the modern life of the Chinese people and let more young people fall in love with traditional Chinese culture." Shan Jixiang, president of the Chinese Cultural Relics Society and former president of the Palace Museum, who served as the cultural guide of the program, said, "Today, the enthusiasm of young people to pay attention to China's excellent traditional culture is unstoppable, and they spread the world heritage culture in a way they like to hear, and this season's program still relies on walking, communication and experience to express it with heart, and live up to everyone's expectations." ”

The program will land on Zhejiang Satellite TV's Sunday 21:00 golden file from the evening of December 19.
