What data can smart cars collect?

Yangcheng Evening News reporter Qi Yaoqi photo report: Recently, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers officially released the T/CAAMTB 34-2021 "Intelligent Connected Vehicle Data Format and Definition" group standard. It is reported that the standard was proposed and organized by the Data Branch of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, led by Shanghai Motor Vehicle Testing and Certification Technology Research Center Co., Ltd., and jointly drafted with the National Industrial Information Security Development Research Center, SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile Co., Ltd., Beijing Horizon Technology Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Automobile Industry Group Co., Ltd. and other participating units, and jointly compiled by industry forces, the standard was officially implemented on December 1, 2021.

According to reports, the data collection and backhaul of intelligent networked vehicles is an inevitable trend in the development of the industry. However, at present, there is no unified format requirement for the data collected by intelligent networked vehicles in China. This document stipulates the general requirements, formats and definitions of intelligent networked vehicle data, which is conducive to guiding the data desensitization work of enterprises.

This standard is based on the needs of intelligent networked vehicle data collection and application, and unifies the data format according to the data that can be collected by various types of on-board sensors of intelligent networked vehicles. This standard also responds to the desensitization principles mentioned in the "Several Provisions on the Management of Automotive Data Security" jointly issued by the five ministries and commissions and the requirements of anonymization of personal privacy protection, and provides guidance for enterprises to process data to ensure that the relevant data fields do not touch national security, public safety, and personal privacy security.

The technical architecture of "Data Format and Definition of Intelligent Connected Vehicles" is mainly divided into four parts, including scope, terminology and definition, overall requirements, data structure and definition.

This definition is conducive to steadily promoting the openness and sharing of automotive industry data, providing reference and reference for all parties in the intelligent and connected vehicle data industry chain, improving the efficiency of data circulation in the automotive industry under the premise of ensuring data security, and helping enterprises to mine the value of industrial data in compliance and safety.

At present, the Data Branch of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers has completed the establishment of two standards in September, namely the "Guidelines for Data Security Evaluation of Intelligent and Connected Vehicles" and the "Technical Requirements and Methods for Automobile Transmission Video and Image Desensitization". At this stage, the preparation of the first draft of the above two standards has been completed.
