When Dou Yujun was young, he had an incorrect mind and made a fortune by cheating on himself and secretly. One day, Dou Yujun had a dream about his late father and said to him, "Quickly repent and be kind, and change your life to Chengxiang." Keep it in mind. Since then, Dou Yujun has changed his past wrongs bitterly, helped the poor, widely practiced convenience, and performed great acts of kindness. Whenever a relative or friend has a funeral and has no money to buy a coffin, he pays for a coffin; if there is a poor child of a family who cannot get married, he will pay for his marriage. In addition, for those whose families are too poor to live, he will lend them money so that they have the capital to do business. So there are countless poor people everywhere who can sustain themselves because of his help.

Dou Yujun also established forty academies, gathered thousands of books, and also hired many teachers with excellent character and excellent learning to educate young people, and paid tuition fees for those poor children who had no money, creating many outstanding talents with profound knowledge.
