The launching ceremony of the 8th National Mass Ice and Snow Season will be held in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, and Shennongjia Forest District on the 19th. From December 19, 2021 to April 2022, the national mass ice and snow season will run through the entire 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, and a series of mass ice and snow activities will be carried out across the country.

With the theme of "Realizing the Winter Olympics and Sharing the Future", this ice and snow season will carry out ice and snow events that are convenient for the masses to participate in, such as "China Ice and Snow Caravan", "National Ice and Snow Open Class", and "Sliding towards 2022". This is the first time that the launching ceremony of the national public ice and snow season has come to the central region after Beijing, Hebei, Shanghai, Tianjin and Jilin, and it is also the largest ice and snow event in the country before the Beijing Winter Olympics.
