Shanghai Demonstration Zone Line Announcement: Set up 8 stations to connect Hongqiao and the Yangtze River Delta Demonstration Zone

On December 14, the surging news (www.thepaper.cn) reporter learned from the Shanghai Municipal Transportation Commission that the special plan (draft) for the line selection of the Shanghai demonstration area began to be announced.

The Shanghai Demonstration Zone Line is an urban railway connecting the main city area of Hongqiao with the Yangtze River Delta Ecological Green Integrated Development Demonstration Zone. The line starts from the main city area of Hongqiao in the east, to the water town living room in the west, passes through Minhang and Qingpu districts, connects the planned water town tourism line in Jiangsu Province and the Jiashan to Xitang line in Zhejiang Province, and can be interchanged with rail transit lines 13 and 17.

The planned demonstration area is about 50 kilometers long, mainly along the Beiqing Highway, Waiqingsong Highway, Shanghai-Chongqing Expressway, Huqingping Highway, set up 8 stations, namely Fangle Road Station, Xule North Road Station, Zhao Zhong Highway Station, Huaqing Road Station, Qingpu New Town Station, Zhujiajiao Station, Xicen Station and Shuixiang Living Room Station (station names are temporarily named).

The line is planned and controlled according to the underground laying method in the main city area of Hongqiao, Qingpu New Town and the living room of the water town, and the rest of the sections are planned and controlled according to the elevated laying method, and the specific laying method is further clarified in the design stage.

This plan will carry out synchronous control of municipal transportation facilities along the line.

A vehicle base is set up on the whole line, and the site is located in the area enclosed by Songze Avenue - Songrui Road - Beiqing Highway - Songfu Road, and the land scale is planned and controlled according to 17.8 hectares.

Main substation and elevated station auxiliary buildings: There are 2 main substations on the whole line, 1 of which is located inside the vehicle base and 1 is located on the east side of Zhujiajiao Station. There are 4 elevated station auxiliary buildings on the whole line, and the auxiliary buildings of Xule North Road Station and Zhao Zhong Highway Station are to be set up in combination with the surrounding planning plots; the auxiliary buildings of Zhujiajiao Station and Xicen Station are planned to be combined with the station, and the specific plan is further clarified in the design stage.

The plan also makes simultaneous adjustments to elements involving road red lines, river blue lines, and power facilities.
