Yuan Tiangang was a well-known figure in the late Sui and early Tang dynasties, thanks to his unique skill: prophecy. He has three prophecies in the most classic, and the two major mausoleums he chose, one for Wu Zetian and one for his own mausoleum, which has never been stolen in thousands of years, are praised by posterity.
Yuan Tiangang was born in the second generation of officials, and his uncle Yuan Shoucheng was a famous warlock, so Yuan Tiangang followed his uncle Yuan Shoucheng to learn warlocks from an early age, and was especially good at looking at each other.
After Yuan Tiangang went to the career, he served as the asset manager of Luoyang. When Yuan Tiangang first arrived in Luoyang, at that time, three talented sons, Du Yan, Wang Jue, and Wei Ting, also came to ask Yuan Tiangang to see him.
Yuan Tiangang predicted that all three of them would get ahead, but they were all late. Specifically, after serving as an official, they will be degraded and reprimanded, and they will meet here in the future.
Later, Yuan Tiangang's prophecy was fulfilled, and during the reign of Emperor Wude of Tang Gaozu, Du Yan was selected as a scholar of Tiance as a servant of the imperial history; the crown prince Li Jiancheng recommended Wang Jue to be the prince of Wupin Zhongyun, and Wei Ting was appointed as the military attaché Zuo Wei. When the three of them were having a smooth career, they did not expect to be demoted to Junzhou together with the palace coup, and sure enough, they met here again.
Yuan Tiangang's famous work of "prophecy" is the prophecy of Wu Zetian, when he said 8 wu rules for young women dressed as men: If you are a woman, you will be the son of heaven. The latter phrase becomes a slur.
The classic work of Yuan Tiangang's "prophecy" is to successfully make such a prophecy through night stargazing, or 8 words: Three generations of emperors, Li Tang of wu dynasty.
Yuan Tiangang's prophecy masterpiece is "Pushing back the map". Legend has it that the "Push Back Map" was jointly written by Li Chunfeng and Yuan Tiangang. Li Chunfeng used Zhou Yi Bagua to calculate, did not expect to be addicted to the calculation, a hair out of control, but extrapolated to the fate of China after the Tang Dynasty for more than 2,000 years, until Yuan Tiangang pushed his back, said: "The heavenly opportunity can not be leaked again, or go back to rest", so this prophetic book got its name "Push Back Map".
There is also a magical story about Yuan Tiangang called: Tiangang broke the dragon vein. In the southeast suburbs of Langzhong Ancient City, there is a strange mountain range winding south around the ancient city, and its mountain-shaped landform is like a dragon, so it is called "Panlong Mountain". There are obvious traces of being excavated by hand at its "dragon neck", according to the local people: this was "sawn" by the Tang Dynasty feng shui master Yuan Tiangang when he "broke the dragon vein". Because Tang Taizong received a report that there was the qi of the Son of Heaven thousands of miles away in the southwest. Yuan Tiangang was ordered to measure the king's qi to the southwest, and in Langzhong saw that the big and small dragon mountains were like two dragons coiling around it, and the Phoenix Mountain held aloft the phoenix head, opened its wings left and right, and if it was embraced, it formed a dragon and phoenix posture, so he ordered people to cut off the junction of the big and small panlong mountain to break the dragon vein, so as to ensure that "there is no heavenly son within a hundred miles of Langzhong".
According to legend, in his later years, Wu Zetian summoned the strange people of the world to choose a tomb for himself, and finally chose to choose, or chose Yuan Tiangang and Li Chunfeng's master and apprentice.
After the two received the order, they both began to search for the world's famous mountains and search for the dragon point cave. Yuan Tiangang went through 7749 days, selected a feng shui treasure land, and buried a copper coin, while Li Chunfeng also selected a treasure land after 9981 days and inserted a hairpin as a mark.
But coincidentally, the feng shui treasure land found by the two was exactly the same place, that is, on the Liangshan Mountain in Qianxian County, Xianyang City, and Li Chunfeng's hairpin was also inserted in the middle of the copper coin hole buried by Yuan Tiangang.
In the end, Wu Zetian buried himself and her husband here together, Qianling.
Later, although the tomb robbers all looked at Qianling, but did not succeed once, huangchao at the end of the Tang Dynasty even dispatched 400,000 troops, and used cannons to bombard the tomb gate, resulting in digging a 40-meter ditch, the mountain where Qianling was located was almost half dug, the result was very disappointed, even the tomb door was not dug. Later, Later Liang Chongzhou Jiedu asked Wen Tao to organize an army to excavate all the Tang Dynasty imperial tombs, and this time Qianling was once again saved from bad luck. Under the guise of protecting the Qianling Tombs, the Kuomintang general Sun Lianzhong used the strength of a division to excavate but did not even find the entrance to the tomb. The Qianling Tomb is there, but it has never been stolen in a thousand years, and it can also be called a miracle.
Later, Yuan Tiangang and Li Chunfeng's apprentices also chose their own cemeteries, and more coincidentally, their cemeteries were selected in Chang'an County, and they were separated by hundreds of meters.
What is strange is that after more than a thousand years, Li Chunfeng's tomb has long been looted, while Yuan Tiangang's tomb is still there and has never been stolen.
Could it be that Yuan Tiangang's tomb was buried with a hidden weapon mechanism, and the thieves could not enter it?
In fact, there were neither organs nor hidden weapons, which was mainly because at the beginning of the Song Dynasty, a place where an army was stationed just covered Yuan Tiangang's tomb, while Li Chunfeng's cemetery was not within range, because no one guarded him, his tomb was naturally stolen.
Of course, some people say that Yuan Tiangang's tomb is not in Chang'an County.
In 1980, in a village in Xi'an, a villager found a large hole, he wanted to fill the hole with water, but he couldn't fill it, and then he suddenly remembered that the old man in the village said that Yuan Tiangang's tomb might be buried in this village.
The villager was particularly curious, and then went to the cave to see it. He went in with his brother, and when he went in, he found that his feet seemed to be glued and could not move, and they were very frightened, and when they looked through the light of the fire, the ground under their feet had been watered into mud.
So they continued to walk, only to suddenly extinguish the torch they were holding, and then it was difficult to breathe, as if someone was pinching their necks, and the brothers quickly ran out and told the villagers about their miraculous encounter.
Some people also say that there is a tomb of Yuan Tiangang in Sichuan, and which one is true is still a mystery.
