History has a memory, and the crimes committed by the Japanese army in Nanjing will forever be nailed to the column of shame in human history. Every year, our country holds a national memorial day on December 13 to commemorate those compatriots who died in the Nanjing Massacre, the purpose of which is to warn future generations, take history as a mirror, cherish peace, heighten vigilance, and never let the tragedy of history repeat itself.
Whenever we look back at that inhumane massacre, we all grit our teeth, especially those Japanese war criminals who personally commanded and personally participated in the inhuman torture and rape, which brought great harm to the Chinese people. Although 84 years have passed, we must not forget, nor dare we forget, let's take a look at who those war criminals are and what heinous crimes they have committed. 84 years ago, after the construction of the Kuomintang government in Nanjing, the infrastructure has been very perfect, and the people live in such a beautiful city, happy and peaceful. However, after the Japanese army occupied Shanghai, it immediately came to the city of Nanjing, and after conquering Nanjing, it began a brutal massacre. The japanese army's methods were extremely cruel and inhuman, lasting six weeks, causing more than 300,000 ordinary people to die innocently, which is undoubtedly a tragic tragedy in human history. For a time, the big city was full of raging fires, like hell on earth.
The commanders of the Japanese army, that is, the main criminals of the Nanjing massacre, mainly included Matsui Ishigen, Tani Shoufu, Matsumoto Jie, etc., who no longer possessed human characteristics, and commanded the troops to wantonly burn and loot, and did all kinds of evil. At that time, an American secretly filmed many shots of Japanese atrocities, which were displayed in the Nanjing Massacre Memorial Hall. Some photographs show tens of thousands of refugees homeless at the time, shivering in improvised shacks, and no one knows if they can see the sun tomorrow. Because the Japanese army often slaughtered civilians without warning and raped women.
At the same time, in order to vent their selfish desires, some Japanese people arbitrarily broke into the homes of ordinary people to loot property and insult women. One holocaust survivor recalls that on that day, several Japanese broke into his home, beat his father to death without saying anything, and then insulted his mother in front of him.
In those days, the Japanese army was like a devil who had lost its soul, hundreds of ordinary people were driven together by them, and they raised their machine guns and strafed, and many civilians were driven to the pit and buried alive. The inferior Japanese soldiers carried out a killing contest, and whoever killed more people within a limited time would win.
Whenever I think of those days, every survivor is in tears. "Those Japanese soldiers are no longer human, and animals can't do what they do." Tens of thousands of women did not escape the atrocities of the Japanese army, many took turns insulting women, and some even let those women incest in front of their families. Xia Shuqin was one of the few survivors, her entire family was killed by the Japanese, her two sisters were raped by the Japanese, and finally even the eight-year-old Xia Shuqin did not let go, they carried a gun and frantically stabbed Xia Shuqin's quilt, stabbed her body with a knife, xia Shuqin fainted. Fortunately, the Japanese did not hit the key point, allowing her to survive.
Seven of the nine members of the family died tragically under the japanese knife, and only she and her 4-year-old sister survived. During that time, the sky was filled with bloody gas, everywhere was smoke, Xia Shuqin and her young sister hid in the home, they could not handle the bodies of their relatives, did not dare to go out, and lived all day in fear. The days of suffering finally passed, and thanks to the efforts of the Chinese army and people, the Japanese invaders were finally defeated, and the Japanese Emperor announced his unconditional surrender in August 1945, and some war criminals were duly punished.
The Nationalist Government set up a special war criminals trial organization to collect evidence and conduct public trials, and a few months after the end of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, it began to concentrate on the liquidation of Japanese war criminals such as Matsui Ishigen, Tani Shoufu, and Matsumoto Jie. Among them, Matsui Ishigen, the number one war criminal who caused the Nanjing Massacre, was sentenced to hanging. This inferior Japanese officer, who was so guilty of his crimes, commanded his troops to conquer Nanjing, and then connived at the troops to start the massacre, when the atrocities of his subordinate soldiers not only did not make him ashamed, but were proud of it.
Even during the interrogation, he remained a rogue, defending himself and trying to escape the punishment of history. However, the evidence of his crimes was conclusive and it was impossible for him to escape, and in December 1948, the Far Eastern Military Tribunal executed his hanging. Such a criminal who was inferior to the beast was even afraid of death, and when the judge announced the execution of him, he was pale and almost fell to the ground, completely devoid of his original arrogant appearance. During the execution of the hanging, he was terrified of the inability to stand. In this way, this evil beast died, ending his sinful life.
Another important Japanese war criminal, Matsumoto Jie, was also executed by firing squad at the Yuhuatai Execution Ground in Nanjing. Gu Shoufu was also extradited to China in 1946 to stand trial and executed by firing squad on April 26, 1947. At the scene of the death penalty, thousands of onlookers erupted in warm applause and excitement, and the soldiers who executed Gu Shoufu's death sentence even fired two shots to express their anger. Although some Japanese war criminals have been punished, Japanese militarists still do not recognize the fact of the Nanjing Massacre. The purpose of our country's National Day of Commemoration is to tell the people that we must never forget history and cherish peace.
