For the significance of releasing the DM-i super hybrid, BYD said that the DM-i super hybrid is the company's hard work and will play the role of a disruptor of fuel vehicles. Its emergence is a "supply-side reform" of the automobile market, which has the ability to change the consumption structure of China's automobile market and accelerate the realization of the dream of green travel. BYD hopes to let the DM-i super hybrid enter the market segment where traditional fuel vehicles are absolutely dominant, and kill a blue ocean in the Red Sea.

According to the data, on November 19, 2021, BYD Ocean Network was officially released, the product was upgraded to two major product series, and the first car destroyer 05 debuted. Thanks to BYD's technological advantages in the field of new energy, Ocean Network will be upgraded to two major product series: the pure electric marine life series equipped with e platform 3.0 technology and the warship series equipped with DM-i super hybrid technology. The former takes appearance, safety, efficiency and intelligent experience as the core selling point; the latter is named after the warship and deeply bundled with DM-i super hybrid technology, and through the subversive advantages of "fast, provincial, quiet, smooth and green", it has made full efforts in the new energy and fuel vehicle markets. In the future, Ocean Network will also achieve comprehensive coverage in the model level, powertrain and price range.

At present, the first model of THE BYD Ocean series, "Dolphin", has been launched with the e-platform 3.0. At the e-platform 3.0 press conference, BYD's concept car ocean-X based on e-platform 3.0 debuted, positioning a medium-sized high-performance sports car, using blade battery body integration design, eight-in-one powertrain and four-wheel drive architecture, refreshing the performance and intelligent driving experience to a new height. BYD revealed that in the future, it will also launch models such as "Seagull", "Seal" and "Sea Lion".

In addition, the "Destroyer 05" under the BYD Ocean Network warship series has been unveiled at the Guangzhou Auto Show.

BYD said that in the next two years, Ocean Network will continue to launch new products at a fast pace and with high frequency, and gradually improve the product matrix of marine life series and warship series to meet the more diversified consumer needs of users.

In the short term, with the surge in sales of BYD's new energy vehicles, the expansion rate of its self-produced chips and other components has not been able to keep up with the increase in automobiles, especially next year, BYD's automobile sales are forecast to surge to 1.5 million units, which will bring about a huge gap in the supply of core devices.

To this end, BYD is already planning for its automotive industry. On December 9, according to the Financial Associated Press, BYD has officially placed an order for the standard IGBT of Silan micro-vehicles, and the order amount has reached 100 million yuan. "On the one hand, BYD's semiconductor production capacity is really tight, and on the other hand, it is to compress related party transactions with BYD Group. It is not only Silan Micro that has obtained orders, but also Star Semiconductor, Times Electric, China Resources Micro, etc., as long as almost all the manufacturers who have passed BYD's verification and import have a share.
