Compared with the old models, the exterior and interior of the new car adopt the latest design language, and the size has been fully extended, which is more dominant than the mid-size SUV benchmark Highlander. In addition, the power is also a highlight of the new GS8, the hybrid model adopts Toyota THS hybrid technology, neDC fuel consumption is only 5.3L/100km, under the extreme conditions, a tank of oil can run 2022km.
As one of the heaviest models of the GAC Trumpchi brand this year, the new GS8 adopts the design language of "Star Diamond Diamond Shadow", providing two kinds of front faces to choose from, namely Zhan Wei Wing and Dragon Scale Wing, which are suitable for fuel version and hybrid version model respectively. The size of the grille of the new car has been increased, and the light groups on both sides have been upgraded to a longitudinal layout, and the visual experience is more domineering. The side of the car adopts a suspended roof design, and the longitudinal light group at the rear echoes the headlights, and the lighting is fully recognizable at night.
Coming to the car, the overall design of the new GS8 is relatively simple, equipped with a 12.3-inch LCD instrument + 14.6-inch central control screen, and the screen integrates ADIGO 4.0 intelligent driver assistance, with L2+ intelligent driving and integrated parking functions. In addition, it is worth mentioning that the AR-HUD equipped with the new car adopts the same DLP technology as the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, and the display effect is clearer.
The new GS8 is available in 6 and 7 seats in two different seat layout options, and its overall size is ahead of the Highlander. In terms of power, the new car provides two kinds of power options, the fuel version and the hybrid version, of which the fuel version is equipped with a 2.0T engine + Aisin 8AT powertrain, the maximum power is 185kW, and the maximum torque is up to 400Nm, which is slightly improved compared with the previous generation model. The hybrid version is equipped with a 2.0TM engine + Toyota's new fourth-generation THS hybrid system, and although the fuel consumption is consistent with highlander, the new GS8 is superior in terms of power parameters.
