A few days ago, the second phase of the "One Thought, One Food" series of activities "Food as the Medium" was held in Foshan Shunde International Gastronomy Culture Exchange Center, and this issue was divided into two units: "Food Geography and Urban Walking" theme sharing and special planning of "Place, Music and Practice".

It is reported that the "One Thought, One Food" series of activities is a gastronomic cultural exchange activity co-sponsored by the Qingyun Cultural Society Historical Research Institute of foshan Shunde OVERSEASOcchia Museum, Foshan Shunde Food Museum and Daliang Taste Shunde Characteristic Town. "Food as a Medium" is the second period after "One Thought, One Food, One Eclipse" after "Eating on the Winter Solstice". This issue opens the perspective of sound, injects the perspectives of music and art, history and culture into the interpretation of food, and discusses the regional culture behind the food in Shunde, Foshan.

"Foshan Shunde is a representative of Lingnan food culture, I was born and raised in Sichuan, and gradually became a witness to Shunde's humanities and history." Deng Qiyao, director of the Visual Culture Research Center of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, doctoral supervisor of anthropology at Sun Yat-sen University and founder of Chinese visual anthropology, shared the theme of ""Taste in Shunde" - Flow and Cultural Recognition on the Tip of the Tongue" on the food geography of Shunde at the event.

Walking and creating in Shunde, a pioneering Chinese digital media and video installation artist, Hu Jieming, a pioneer artist in China, used video art to record the food-related art forms that took place in Shunde, Foshan, intertwining different forms of food with the nourishment of the water and soil, and creating works with unique Shunde culture and spiritual outlook.

It is reported that the work "Down the River, Moving, Starting or Turning" created by Shunde Walk this time will be publicly exhibited as the finale of the Oct City Art Exhibition.

Xiao Jian, associate professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Media and International Culture of Zhejiang University, delivered a keynote speech on food as a medium: Food Geography and Urban Walking, in which she expressed her views on art and media and the artistic expression of food as a medium. Xiao Jian is also the academic director of the Institute of History of Qingyun Wenshe, and she continues to pay attention to the research topics of gastronomic media and culture in the context of Shunde City. In the afternoon and evening of the same day, there were themed screenings, sharing and performances of local, musical and practical activities.

It is worth noting that this issue of the event specially invited Mao Tao, the lead singer of Wutiaoren, Tu Fei, the b10 planner of Shenzhen OCT Creative Culture Park, Liu Qingyuan, deputy dean of the School of Cross-media Arts of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, and Zuo Jing, curator of rural construction, to share.

Next, the "One Thought, One Food" series of activities will invite more artists and scholars to Shunde, Foshan, to jointly explore the taste of Shunde, explore the production of food, talk about the meaning behind food, and inject the perspective and thinking of art and literature into the interpretation of Shunde's local cuisine in a relaxed and interesting way. Today's Shunde is constantly strengthening its "World Gastronomy Capital" urban super IP, and the gathering of artists and scholars from all walks of life has also written footnotes for the growth of this IP in different dimensions.
