From 0 to 24:00 on December 12, 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 101 new confirmed cases. Among them, there were 21 imported cases (5 cases in Shanghai, 5 cases in Guangdong, 4 cases in Guangxi, 2 cases in Beijing, 2 cases in Yunnan, 1 case in Jilin, 1 case in Jiangsu and 1 case in Zhejiang), including 1 case from an asymptomatic infected person to a confirmed case (in Zhejiang); 80 local cases (74 cases in Zhejiang, including 55 cases in Shaoxing City, 14 cases in Ningbo City, and 5 cases in Hangzhou City; 5 cases in Inner Mongolia, all in Hulunbuir City; 1 case in Shaanxi, in Xi'an City), including 25 cases from asymptomatic infected people to confirmed cases (all in Zhejiang). There were no new deaths. There were no new suspected cases.

On the same day, 43 new cured and discharged cases were cured, 814 close contacts were released from medical observation, and the number of severe cases decreased by 1 case compared with the previous day.

There are 505 confirmed cases imported from overseas (including 4 severe cases) and 2 suspected cases. The cumulative number of confirmed cases is 10,478, the cumulative number of cured and discharged cases is 9,973, and there are no deaths.

As of 24:00 on December 12, according to reports from 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, there are 1,381 confirmed cases (including 27 severe cases), 93,763 cured and discharged cases, 4,636 cumulative deaths, 99,780 confirmed cases and 2 suspected cases. A total of 1361008 close contacts have been traced, and 51,333 close contacts are still under medical observation.

31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 17 new cases of asymptomatic infection (all imported from abroad); 26 cases were converted to confirmed cases on the same day (1 case imported from abroad); 21 cases were released from medical observation on the same day (19 cases imported from abroad); and 444 asymptomatic infected people were still under medical observation (398 cases imported from abroad).

A total of 29,302 confirmed cases were reported from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Among them, there were 12,488 cases in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (12,168 cases discharged from hospital, 213 deaths), 77 cases in Macao Special Administrative Region (77 cases discharged from hospital), and 16,737 cases in Taiwan Region (13,742 cases discharged from hospital, 848 deaths).
