Jiangsu Province is one of the best county economic development in China. In almost all the lists, Jiangsu can have 20 counties on the national top 100. On December 6 of this year, the Zhongjun Research Institute released the "2021 County Economy and County Development Monitoring and Evaluation Report", which announced the 21st National Top 100 County Economic Counties. Before writing this article, I took a special look at this Zhongjun Research Institute, which is a unit founded in 1998 that specializes in county economic research consulting and services in the country, and is known as "the first county economy in China".
This list is also based on the economic growth rate, fiscal revenue growth rate, resident income growth rate, investment growth rate, consumption growth rate, county relative people's wealth index, county relative sky blue index and other indicators, personally feel that there is a certain reference value. In this list, Jiangsu Province is still listed with 24 counties, ranking first in the province, pressing 23 in Zhejiang, and 16 in Shandong, laying the pattern of China's three strong county economy provinces.
Among the 24 counties on the list in Jiangsu Province, Kunshan and Jiangyin ranked first, Zhangjiagang, Changshu, Taicang and Yixing entered the top ten, Qidong, Rugao, Taixing and Jingjiang entered the top 30, and Danyang, Hai'an, Rudong, Liyang, Peixian, Dongtai and Shuyang entered the top 50. These are the top strong counties in Jiangsu Province, with a total of 17 counties entering the top 50 in the country.

Why is it said that it is a reshuffle in Jiangsu Qiang County? The first is the ascension of Jiangyin. In many lists, Jiangyin has always ranked second, inferior to Kunshan, and has the sadness of "both Shengyu and He Shengliang". In the first three quarters of this year, the economic strength of the two continued to show a state of anxiety. Among them, Kunshan led with 337.465 billion yuan, followed by Jiangyin with 315.999 billion yuan, and the gap between the two was only 21.466 billion yuan. Judging from the 7 data of this list, Jiangyin is significantly ahead of Kunshan in terms of investment growth rate, and is flat on the county relative wealth index and the county relative sky blue index. In short, Jiangyin has risen to the first place, juxtaposed with Kunshan, and Jiangsu will enter the era of dual core county economy.
Another important reason for the reshuffle is the rise of northern Jiangsu. From the perspective of Jiangsu Qiang County, which can enter the top 50. In addition to the 6 counties and cities managed by Suzhou and Wuxi, those managed by Changzhou and Zhenjiang have basically declined. The most obvious is Danyang. How strong was Danyang once? In August 1994, Danyang has fully entered the national Xiaokang County, in 1997, the province discharged more than 10 billion counties, Danyang ranked among the top ten, and Yixing, Zhangjiagang is basically the same level. After all, at that time, there were still top strong counties such as Wujin City and Wuxian City, and even Kunshan and Jiangyin had to be avoided.
In 2020, Danyang's GDP is 114.536 billion yuan, which has been squeezed out of the top 10. With the rise of northern Jiangsu, Rugao City in the same period was 130.522 billion yuan, Qidong City was 122.310 billion yuan, and Hai'an City was 122.163 billion yuan. Taixing has reached 112.747 billion yuan, Jingjiang is 100.480 billion yuan, and even Pizhou, which has not entered the top 50, has 100.126 billion yuan.

In this list of comprehensive economic strength, Danyang is still barely entering the top 10, but what cannot be ignored is the rise of northern Jiangsu, placed ten years ago, Yixing should be Danyang after, and now, Qidong, Rugao, Taixing, Jingjiang, these northern Jiangsu counties, have also achieved catch-up with Danyang, and many hundreds of billions of counties are also indicating that strong counties in Jiangsu Province may shuffle at any time.
