At about 6 o'clock on February 19, the Jiepai police station received a report that at about 3 a.m. on February 19, more than 200 high-end cigarettes were stolen from the counter of a supermarket on Xuri Road in Jiepai Town, worth nearly 200,000 yuan.
After receiving the alarm, the Jiepai police station quickly launched an investigation. It was soon discovered that at about 3:00 a.m. on the same day, three young men drove a Wuling blue van with the number of "Su B*****" near the scene of the crime, and the vehicle was from Yixing City to the town of Jiepai in our city, and then returned to the same road.
The police immediately realized that the car had a major suspicion and was one of the key clues to solve the case, so they carried out analysis and judgment around the vehicle. By retrieving video surveillance along the road, the police successfully locked the suspect's identity information and found that the car was parked at a road junction in Guanlin Town, Yixing City. Investigators immediately rushed to Yixing City to carry out further investigations.
With the assistance of the Yixing police, the investigating police found that the three suspects transferred the cigarettes involved in the case to the brother of one of the suspects, abandoned the car (the vehicle involved in the case was a theft and had been handed over to the Yixing police for investigation), and then took a taxi to hide in the epidemic area of Wuxi. After further investigation, it was found that his brother worked in a hot pot restaurant, drove out in the morning of the same day, and did not come to work. At about 15:00 on the same day, the brother of one of the suspects returned to the store and was arrested by the waiting police.
After questioning, Zhang Moutong confessed that on the morning of the same day, he and his fellow villager Jin mou sent the stolen cigarettes to Wujin District of Changzhou City to sell the stolen cigarettes. After learning about it, the investigating police rushed to Wujin District of Changzhou City non-stop, fought continuously, and recovered more than 200 high-grade cigarettes involved in the case.
So far, it took only 8 hours from the occurrence of the case to the recovery of the stolen goods, and the losses of 200,000 yuan were recovered for the masses.
