Ever since Chiang Kai-shek withdrew from Taiwan in 1949, he had been dreaming of counterattacking the mainland, dreaming that he would one day regain power.
What many people don't know is that before the mainland awarded the rank in 1955, the old Chiang Kai-shek secretly returned to Zhejiang Province, but he did not return to his former residence, but inspected the coastal areas, considering whether he could build military bases and airport facilities. ”
But even if he has such a deep affection for his hometown, he can only accept that he has not yet hidden his desire to return to the mainland, which has caused Chiang Kai-shek's tragic situation, and each of the ten marshals has a share of the credit, but when it comes to the most tragic attack on Chiang Kai-shek and convincing him, it can only be Marshal Chen Yi.
Why? Everything must start from the time when the civil war broke out in full swing, and the enmity between Chiang Kai-shek and Chen Yi had long been buried during the New Fourth Army period, and the old Chiang Kai-shek still regarded him as his "confidant".
In 1946, when the civil war broke out in full swing, this "confidant trouble" became an important target of Chiang Kai-shek's attack, and he first took advantage of the gap in the peace talks between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party to mobilize 26 divisions of regular troops, a total of 300,000 people, in an attempt to annihilate the Central Plains Military Region.
