On 12 December, Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, reported a new locally confirmed case. Xi'an held a press conference on epidemic prevention and control to report on the latest epidemic situation.

At the meeting, Chen Baozhong, director of the Xi'an Municipal Center for Disease Control, informed that on December 11, Qujiang New District found that 1 person had a positive nucleic acid test in the periodic nucleic acid test for medical institution practitioners.

The case, Guo Mou, is a pharmacy worker of the Ziniu Outpatient Department in Qujiang New District, Xi'an City, and lives in No. 2 Zhangba East Road, Changyanbao Street, Yanta District. As required, the nucleic acid test of the new crown virus is once a week, the nucleic acid test result is negative on December 3, the initial screening result of the nucleic acid test is positive on December 11, and the review of the Xi'an Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention is positive at 23:00 on the same day; at 1:00 on December 12, the diagnosis is a confirmed case (mild), and now the Eighth Hospital of the city is isolated for diagnosis and treatment. The Municipal Epidemic Prevention and Control Headquarters launched the emergency response at the first time, and is currently conducting an epidemiological investigation of the case, and the relevant departments are carrying out mapping and control of its close connection and sub-close connection, nucleic acid testing, and sealing and controlling and eliminating its activity places and residences.

The activity trajectory of the case is as follows: Since December 5, in addition to commuting by bus every day, the case has also visited the community downstairs Manyibai Breakfast Shop, Zhang Liang Spicy Hot, Mi Xue Ice City, Every Day Convenience Store, Cainiao Station and Jia Parkway Clothing City, Bosideng Clothing Store, San Fu (Sun New Street Store), A Zhan Lucky Roll Cool Skin (Chang'an Pedestrian Street Store), SanFu (Sun New Street Store), Chang'an District Changbai Commercial Building (No. 119 North Chang'an Avenue) 3-story Shengyun Shabu-shabu and other places.

As of 15:00 on the 12th, 486 close contacts have been traced and controlled in Xi'an, of which 125 have tested negative for nucleic acid, and the rest are being tested. Among them, there were 27 people working in the same work unit and 6 people in the same accommodation as the case Guo, and the nucleic acid test was negative. 1451 people were screened and controlled, and all nucleic acid tests were negative.

Relevant districts, counties and development zones have implemented closed management of the residence and workplace of case Guo, and 10 risk points found in the convection survey have been sealed and controlled and eliminated, with a cumulative killing area of about 24,404 square meters. As of 13:00 on the 12th, a total of 580 samples of nucleic acid test environment were cumulative, of which 8 samples tested positive, all in Guo's workplace, and the rest of the results were negative.
