The drama is based on the true story of the revolutionary base area in western Hunan and Hubei, telling the story of the Local Revolutionary Red Guards in the Honghu area of Hubei Province, which took place in the summer of 1930 during the civil revolutionary war, under the leadership of Han Ying and Liu Chuang, using the lake area to skillfully maneuver with the enemy and deal with the enemy bitterly. In just six acts, dozens of performing artists demonstrate the unwavering revolutionary faith of the revolutionary martyrs through melodious, moxibustion songs and vivid and exquisite performances.

At the scene of the performance, a well-known classical music awakened the national memory of generations of Chinese. The beautiful "Honghu water, waves beating waves", the magnificent sentence "come one, kill one, come ten, kill five pairs", which is mesmerizing, triggered a strong emotional resonance from the audience, and the audience applauded everywhere. At the end of the performance, the audience and the artists on the stage sang "Waves of Honghu Lake" together, which drew a perfect end to the performance.
