And "Honghu Red Guards" this time is the second time to Shanghai, the last time is in 2011 on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the founding of the party, a ticket is difficult to find, the audience is excited after watching.
Ten years later, "Honghu Red Guards" once again came to the Famous Drama Month of the Oriental Famous Artists on the occasion of the centenary of the founding of the Party. Over the years, this work has always been popular, attracting new audiences no matter where it is performed.
It is reported that the full version of "Honghu Red Guards" this time has been comprehensively "upgraded". Composer and conductor Wang Xiufeng re-instrumented "Honghu", on the basis of retaining the essence of the original tune, enhancing the symphony of the overall work, making it more in line with the aesthetic standards of "grand opera". In terms of stage beauty, a new set design has also been carried out in the original classic scene, which is more in line with the aesthetics of modern young audiences.
In the view of Peng Hua, secretary of the Party Committee of Hubei Opera and Dance Theatre, one of the main reasons for the long-term performance of "Honghu Red Guards" is that it has constantly kept pace with the times. In 1979, 1984 and 1999, it underwent three iterations, each of which will innovate the instrumentation and musical elements according to the changes of the times, close to the aesthetics of the current audience.
The heroine of this version of "Honghu Red Guards" "Han Ying" is played by soprano Ma Yaqin, who is also the fourth generation of "Han Ying". From the first time she appeared on stage as "Han Ying" to now, she has sung for twenty years, during which she has performed more than a thousand times, and she has cherished every detail on the stage.
In Mayaqin's view, the current audience does not like too "labeled" characters, and the original slightly protracted narrative method is not in line with the fast-paced life of people at present. In addition, people have become accustomed to the current popular concerts, and there are higher and higher aesthetic needs for the sound, light and electricity of the performance.

Not only that, the "Honghu Red Guard" of "a thousand hammers and hundreds of refinements" is also passed down from generation to generation in the actors, and "the second generation of Han Ying" Li Yuhua and the "third generation of Han Ying" Liu Danli have given Maya Qin careful guidance.
