Recently, we learned from relevant sources that the new Mercedes-AMG SL is expected to be sold as early as March 2022, while the roadster will be as early as next April.
The AMG SL 63 4MATIC+ model is equipped with an M177 engine with a maximum power of 585 hp and a peak torque of 800 Nm, which accelerates to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds. The AMG SL 55 4MATIC+ model, also equipped with an M177 engine, has a maximum power of 476 hp, a peak torque of 700 Nm and 3.9 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h. However, the SL 55 is mainly aimed at the US market.
As for more power news, it is yet to be announced by the official. It is reported that the new car will also provide other engines, including an electrified powertrain using the AMG E-Performance drive strategy.
