On December 10th, the launching ceremony of "Segu - Li Yanxun Ceramic Works Exhibition" was held in Temple East Jingdongyuan, Beijing.
Organized by Yanshan Art Museum, this exhibition is the first solo exhibition held in Beijing by contemporary ceramic artist and director of Yanshan Art Museum, Li Yanxun, and contemporary artist Sun Xun is the curator of this exhibition. The works cover the artistic creations of Tang Sancai and Red and Green Cai that he has studied in the past three years, and is an attempt to express contemporary art with the original aesthetics of ceramic materials from the perspective of history, and a projection of ancient Chinese glaze aesthetics on contemporary art.
The exhibition takes ceramic art works as the carrier, exhibits more than 20 pieces of Li Yanxun's personal ceramic works, covering two major art categories such as medium temperature sancai and red and green color, including "Stacked Ridge" and "Blue Realm" and other medium temperature sancai works that iteratively progress the art form of Tang Sancai, and red and green color works that show the aesthetics of glazed materials such as "Qingjie", "Tree No. 1", "Dunhuang No. 1" and other red and green color works that show the aesthetics of glazed materials, through the form of contemporary art in ancient buildings, so that the public and contemporary artists can have a cross-carrier and cross-time and space dialogue, in the form of exhibition, Promote the spread of ceramic culture.
Li Yanxun, director of Yanshan Art Museum, said that holding an exhibition in Temple Gallery, facing the ancient hall of Zhizhu Temple, the concept of space overlaps with the thinking of art, which suddenly gives birth to a cultural sense across time and space, dialogues with art, from the ancient Chinese ceramic aesthetics accumulated for thousands of years, to contemporary art, and the artistic ecology in the field of ceramics is explored in a deep-dive manner.
This exhibition, in terms of space and art, the combination of cross-latitude, so that contemporary ceramic art, no longer limited to the present, but looking at the inner history, in the inheritance of ceramic texture, explore the new direction of ceramic art expression, develop a new creative trend, and open up the fourth wall of artistic culture and public communication.
