Recently, it was learned that the comprehensive upgrading and transformation project of the Baitashan section of the Yellow River Basin in Lanzhou is being carried out in an orderly manner, and the construction tasks of the project at this stage are mainly based on geotechnical engineering, bridge engineering and tunnel engineering, as of December 1, the north line of the east cave mouth of the tunnel project has entered the cycle stage of normal excavation, support and lining processes, and the excavation has exceeded 200 meters.
Among them, 24 anti-slip piles in the geotechnical engineering of the East Cave Mouth have all completed the excavation of the pile body and the overall concrete pouring, and the D-type and E-type piles are in the construction stage of the retaining plate; the 18 anti-slip piles of the West Cave Mouth Geotechnical Engineering have completed the excavation of 6 piles and the overall concrete pouring, and the remaining 12 are in the stage of pile excavation and construction.

Since the construction of the comprehensive upgrading project of the Baita Mountain section of Lanzhou in the Yellow River Basin began on October 15, 2020, it has attracted the attention of Lanzhou people. The main reason is that the project is not only an important transportation line on the north bank of Lanzhou, but also an important riverfront landscape improvement project in Lanzhou, which is of great significance for dredging the traffic in Lanzhou urban area and improving the Baita Mountain Scenic Area.
In the planning, the comprehensive upgrading and transformation project of Lanzhou Baitashan section of the Yellow River Basin is divided into two phases, the first phase of the project is the protection and treatment project of the embankment of the Baitashan section of lanzhou in the Yellow River Basin, and the construction content is the tunnel traffic project; the second phase of the project is the Yellow River cultural protection project of the Baitashan section of lanzhou in the Yellow River Basin, and the construction content is the bridge north square and the ancient building complex of the yanyangou.

Judging from the renderings previously exposed, after the completion of the project, the Baita Mountain Scenic Area is directly connected to the North Square of Zhongshan Bridge, and the east cave entrance of the Baitashan Tunnel will also be dominated by antique buildings, which will be integrated with the existing antique buildings in the Baita Mountain Scenic Area. In addition, the Baitashan Tunnel will also become the main artery through the north bank of Lanzhou, and assume the role of commuting traffic and crowd relief in urban areas.

In the planning, the Baitashan Tunnel is scheduled to be completed in June 2022, and the entire content of the comprehensive upgrading project of the Baitashan section of Lanzhou in the Yellow River Basin is scheduled to be completed in June 2023. It is worth mentioning that in 2021, Lanzhou City said that it will strive to complete the creation of a national 5A-level tourist scenic spot in the Baita Mountain Scenic Area by the end of 2025, which is inseparable from the comprehensive upgrading and transformation project of the Baita Mountain Section of Lanzhou in the Yellow River Basin.
