From Lanzhou City to Baitashan Park, you must cross the Yellow River, of course, there will be several bridges on the river, but most people will pass from the Zhongshan Iron Bridge, which is known as the "first bridge of the Yellow River in the world". In order to commemorate this messenger of peace, the Yuan Dynasty built a white pagoda on the top of this mountain, but this pagoda had collapsed in the late Yuan Dynasty, and the details could not be found, but the name of the White Pagoda Mountain was retained. During the Ming Dynasty (1450-1456), Liu Yongcheng, the internal supervisor of the town guard Gansu, rebuilt the White Pagoda on the old site, which has been preserved to this day.

Bauhinia tree is a bit peculiar, this tree is not suitable for growth in Lanzhou, in our Hubei Xiangyang is very common, is the city flower of Xiangyang, asked the local residents to find that the bauhinia tree mentioned here is actually a similar local tree species, named Wenguan Fruit, also known as Dulongmu. Originally planted next to the White Pagoda, it is said that a monk surnamed Tian has been carefully guarded, after the Tian monk left, the tree gradually withered away, and now the tree seen is planted by posterity.
