Wang Luobin, whose original name was Wang Rongting, was born in Beijing in 1913. Grandpa is a well-known folk artist in Beijing, and my father is also handy in playing and singing. Growing up in such an artistic atmosphere, Wang Luobin was naturally deeply influenced by it and had a high understanding and enthusiasm for music.
In the summer of 1927, his father, Wang Dejian, sent Wang Luobin, who had been frail and sickly, to Study at Luhe Middle School in Tongzhou, Beijing. During this time, his musical talent was revealed. In 1928, his father died, and 15-year-old Wang Luobin came to Harbin alone to inform his sister of the bad news. Looking at his younger brother, his sister had to let him stay for the time being and found a small job for him.
Although the pain of losing his father could not be recovered for a long time, in this short period of time in Harbin, Wang Luobin met someone who had a great influence on his life, he was a famous performance artist in China. During the summer vacation, Wang Luobin came to the Hengdao Hezi Station on the Harbin Middle East Railway Line to do small work, Wang Luobin and Seck, who was also working here, met, although Seck was not yet famous at this time, his dedication to music was still not reduced by half a point. Syke is especially obsessed with "guitar", and in the face of the same love of music, the teenager Wang Luobin, Syke also generously introduced the "guitar" to him.
At this time, although Wang Luobin was young, this did not affect his musical talent, and Seck admired him very much, and directly let this "child" participate in the creation of his own songwriting. The friendly relationship between the two was thus established, and it passed to the end of their lives with the years.
In 1931, Wang Luobin was sent to the School of Arts of Peking Normal University, where he received an orthodox musical education.
If Seck was the enlightenment teacher of his musical path, then the Art College of Peking Normal University was the springboard for his music creation, and he jumped into a new world. During the year, Wang Luobin composed "Slave Love", which is both his debut work and a stepping stone to his access to the music world.
During his studies at Peking Normal University, Wang Luobin not only learned orthodox music knowledge, but also created his own unique style in music. At the same time, he also gained the first feeling in his life. In October 1938, at the Peking University Student Choir Party, Wang Luobin and Du Mingyuan met, young boys and girls, between the intersection of eyebrows, I don't know who blushed. Shortly thereafter, in a disaster relief charity performance, Wang Luobin, who sang on the stage, and Du Mingyuan, who danced solo in the ballet, showed a perfect "picture scroll", and the two young hearts were also close.
The two soon married, but unfortunately, at this time, just in time for the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japan, the young couple embarked on the train to Xining shortly after the new marriage. On this great plain, there are basically no modern facilities, the harsh environment, and the scarcity of materials, all of which make Du Mingyuan, who has been accustomed to a happy life since childhood, unbearable.
Wang Luobin, on the other hand, found what he was pursuing in this land. For the sake of his wife, Wang Luobin installed a home for his wife in Lanzhou, not far from Xining. Although Du Mingyuan was reluctant to marry, he could no longer stay in Xining after all, so he returned to Lanzhou alone.
At that time, the two of them were thinking about the distance of more than two hundred kilometers, and it would not cut off the strong love between the two people. But in the end, the hottest feelings eventually lost to distance. Day after day of separation, Du Mingyuan's reply gradually became less, the words no longer saw the old lovesickness, and Wang Luobin never put his mind on this. The bitter winds in the northwest finally blew them apart.
Wang Luobin, who was running on the plain, had long forgotten his wife in his hometown. A song that resounded throughout the country, "In That Far Away Place", already explained his choice, and Wang Luobin personally admitted that the "good girl" in this song was the Tibetan girl Saya Dolma.
Wang Luobin's acquaintance with Dolma was completely accidental. At the shooting scene of the patriotic movie "Long Live the Motherland", Wang Luobin followed the crew into the grassland, and in a herdsman's home, the director selected a girl to play the role of a cameo in the movie Shepherd. In the months of filming, the two of you talked and talked word by word, and gradually developed feelings, but there was still time to express their hearts to each other, and this relationship followed the end of the shooting. On the day the crew left, Dolma sent them far and wide...
Wang Luobin's side was frustrated, and the family had already changed. Long ago, Wang Luobin had heard that his wife had an affair with someone else, but he did not believe it, only believed what his own eyes saw, so he decided to go back.
It was already night when I arrived, but after opening the door and going in, I saw my wife and another strange man, for the husband's "surprise attack", Du Mingyuan did not panic because he brought the man into the house, but asked indifferently, "You came back, where do you sleep at night?" ”
Silence replaced the night. In 1941, a newspaper in Lanzhou published news of the divorce of the two, and a marriage was finally broken off by the two parties.
In the same year of the divorce, Wang Luobin was arrested and imprisoned, and he was imprisoned for three years. In 1944, after many rescues, Wang Luobin was released from prison.
But he was depressed all day, and his friend couldn't bear him to be so decadent, so he arranged a blind date for him. Wang Luobin gladly accepted this, and this woman became his second wife, Huang Yulan.
The two married in 1945 and have three sons. Huang Yulan is bent on teaching her husband and children at home, but Wang Luobin has been wandering outside, floating, and Huang Yulan, as a wife, is very worried about this, afraid that if her husband is not careful, something will happen.
In June 1951, his wife's worries still came, and Wang Luobin was arrested by the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau. Shortly after being imprisoned, his wife Huang Yulan died of illness in Beijing, and in the face of such a bruise, Wang Luobin turned white overnight. Fortunately, with the help of General Zuo Qi, Wang Luobin was released two years later.
In 1960, Wang Luobin was sentenced to 15 years in prison, released on bail a year later, and sent back to prison in 1965, a full decade. Released in 1975, he was placed under control during his political term.
Over the years, no matter how hard and difficult the days, Wang Luobin has always insisted on creating, even if it is more than ten years of imprisonment, it has not been able to erase his enthusiasm and dedication to music. Finally, in 1981, the Xinjiang Military Region rehabilitated him and restored his reputation and military status, and the burden of humiliation after so many years was finally released.
In his later years, Wang Luobin thought that he would spend the rest of his life in such a bland way, but he did not think that because of the media's publicity of Wang Luobin's works in the later stage, the famous Taiwanese female writer Sanmao came to the northwest because she listened to his songs, just to meet him.
The two talked about each other when they first met, and there was a sense of seeing each other and hating late. The female writer's admiration for him gradually turned to admiration, but the elderly man did not dare to accept it easily, so he tried to reject her.
In 1991, Sanmao committed suicide in Taipei Hospital, and Wang Luobin was silent for a long time after receiving the news of his death.
In 1996, Wang Luobin died of gallbladder adenocarcinoma.
In these 83 years, the indomitable old man has cast the iron wall of the copper wall with tenacity, created more than 1,000 folk songs and ballads, created a precedent for Folk Art in China, and brought an auditory feast to the world.
But his feelings have never been smooth, he has been looking for love, but he is also hurt by love. Until his old age, he did not dare to accept it easily.
