Zongsheng Zengzi an important descendant of Confucius's teachings

ZengMiao Temple, located in Nanwushan Village, Jiaxiang County, Jining City, Shandong Province, is a special temple dedicated to Zengzi, formerly known as Zhongxiao Ancestral Hall, also known as Zongsheng Temple. It has a long history, it was built in 426 BC, rebuilt in 1444 AD, and expanded and added many times during the Ming Wanli, Qing Shunzhi, Kangxi and Qianlong years.

Zeng Zi (505 BC – 435 BC), courtesy name Ginseng, was a native of Nanwucheng, Luguo, in the late Spring and Autumn Period. He was a famous disciple of Confucius, an important descendant of Confucius's teachings, and was revered by later generations as a zongsheng. Zengzi Thought has a profound and broad connotation, which has had a multifaceted impact on ancient society and still has positive value significance for today's society.
