November 19, 2021 is the fifteenth day of the tenth month of the lunar calendar, the traditional Chinese festival Xiayuan Festival, also known as the Memorial Festival. This day also marks the ninetieth anniversary of the death of Xu Zhimo, a famous Chinese poet, essayist, translator, literary critic and editor in the 20th century.
Xu Zhimo is a writer with a unique literary personality and unique life experience. In the era of the alternation of new and old cultures and the collision of Eastern and Western cultures, Xu Zhimo's new poems and essays connect up and down and across the east and west in the process of the history of New Chinese Literature, representing a cultural symbol, being the leading figure of "Crescent Moon Culture", and laying his unique position in the history of Chinese literature.
In the past ninety years, the stars have shifted, and the Chinese nation has undergone tremendous changes. However, Chinese culture is still passed down from generation to generation.
The Scythians are gone, and the soul of poetry lives on.
On this special commemorative day, at the invitation of Professor Zi Zhang of Zhejiang University of Technology, The Hangzhou Xu Zhimo Memorial Hall, East China Normal University, Sichuan University, Zhejiang University, Shanghai Bajin Memorial Hall, Nantong University, Zhejiang Provincial Museum of Literature and History, Hangzhou Normal University, Zhejiang Gongshang University, Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, Zhejiang University of Media, Zhejiang Chinese College, Zhejiang Academy of Social Sciences, Zhejiang University of Technology and other well-known professors, experts and scholars, cultural confucians and senior media people gathered together. Solemnly commemorate the 90th anniversary of the death of poet Xu Zhimoxian and hold a photocopied and republished symposium of "Beichen Gakuen Mourning Shima Special Number".
"Beichen Academy" is a memorial collection of xu Zhimo written by the cultural masters Hu Shizhi, Qu Bingsen, Lin Huiyin, Zhang Hexhui and other well-known people after Xu Zhimo's death. Professor Chen Zishan of East China Normal University, a top scholar of Xu Zhimo Research in China, suggested that the Xu Zhimo Memorial Hall reprint the "Beichen Gakuen Mourning Shima Special Number" and personally write a photocopy of the foreword, which was adopted by the memorial hall. At the same time, it was published on the public account of "Pido Meow Wen", providing valuable literature for Xu Zhimo researchers and enthusiasts at home and abroad.
The symposium began at 9:00 a.m., and Professor Zi Zhang from Zhejiang University of Technology first introduced the guests, and Professor Huang Jian of Zhejiang University presided over the meeting.

Everyone spoke freely, hooking up with a lot of Lu Xun, Hu Shizhi, Wen Yiduo, Dai Wangshu and other cultures in the same period as Xu Zhimo, and everyone immersed in and supported modern culture, and Xu Zhimo is definitely the first chair of modern poetry.
Everyone agreed that modern poetry is an important turning point between ancient poetry and new poetry, which not only plays a role in carrying forward the upper and lower levels, but also provides valuable literary experience for the development of modern poetry.
Everyone is highly compatible: literature is to be diversified, colorful, can not ignore the artistry of literary creation; Xu Zhimo is both a creator and a pioneer, only reading Xu Zhimo's poems can not understand Xu Zhimo, only by entering the history of poetry can we truly understand Xu Zhimo; Xu Zhimo's short life and his ideas are both influenced by Western culture, but rooted in the Chinese blood, so he is Chinese and the world.
In Xu Zhimo's literary works, he uses "love, freedom, and beauty" to produce and display pureness, goodness and beauty, and willfulness, so that the tree of his thought still has a unique charm even after 90 years of baptism.
The common experience of experts is that all cultures and cultural people are worth cherishing. Professor Guo Mei, who is quite accomplished in theatrical art, said that in the next theatrical rehearsal, it is planned to move the image of Xu Zhimo to the theater stage, so that Xu Zhimo can come to the public's vision with an elegant theatrical art form.

Luo Liehong, a private entrepreneur who personally invested in the construction of the Xu Zhimo Memorial Hall in Hangzhou, is a ashes-level "Mo fan" with feelings and obsession with crescent culture. It is understood that the Hangzhou Xu Zhimo Memorial Hall has been opened since August 9, 2016, and has been for more than five years, attracting Motorcycle friends from all over the world to visit and exchange. At the same time, poetry readings, cultural seminars, cultural salons and other activities have been held in the memorial hall many times. On each special commemorative day, the memorial hall also organizes Mo friends from all over the world to carry out various forms of commemoration and cultural activities in Haining, West Lake and other places that have special significance with Xu Zhimo.
Xu Zhimo once said: "This deep joy in my heart, the grandeur of this emotional realm, the sinking of Nintendo, the opening of hell, cannot destroy the treasure of my inner house." The symposium to commemorate the 90th anniversary of Xu Zhimo's death gave us a deeper understanding of Xu Zhimo, his literary charm and his role in the history of Chinese literature.
