Recently, a friend and I talked about the movie "Green Wallet", I think it is not so much a crime film as a children's film, because its focus is on how to educate and guide juvenile offenders.
The film was produced by Changchun Film Studio, directed by Sun Yu and Wang Qimin (also the directors of the later "Man to Middle Age"). Liang Shan, Hu Hao, Guan Qiang and Zhu Decheng co-starred. Bai Ruitong and Du Fengxia also have cameos.
The story of the movie is very simple, that is, it tells the story of a 13-year-old boy Xiaoyuan once stole the wallet of an "old cadre" on the bus, and he was sent to a work school after being detained many times, but accidentally found that the old principal was the person he stole.
A big feature of the film is that the protagonist does not portray the little boy as an overly stubborn social. On the contrary, his appearance looks beautiful and cute, just like other "good students".
It's just that he often comes into contact with some "not three, no four" social people, and when he gets into bad habits, he will appear to be flowing.
Here the film vaguely shows two problems. First of all, why don't parents effectively guide their children to what kind of friends they should make? Secondly, the bullying and hegemony phenomenon of the "child king" has always been a living portrayal of campus life in the last century. The elderly bully the young, the strength is big, the strength is small, the gangs are formed, and small groups are engaged. Between this non-film focus, this film does not indicate whether Xiaoyuan was forced to steal (forced to get rid of violence) or whether he was half pushed and half pushed by his own curious nature.
Of course, more often Than not, Xiao Yuan is a "playing child", and he has no "evil" fruit in his heart, just naughtiness.
He also often reflected on the "legitimacy" of his actions. Perhaps cowardly was not brave enough, and he was never able to take that step.
The young actor Liang Shan performed well, and Guan Qiang on the left also had an excellent performance in "Miao Miao".
Compared with Miao Miao and Wang Shuangling, who are benchmark female teachers on the screen, male teachers are more fierce. The old principal played by Hu Hao is a model of spring wind and rain and good inducement.
He knows how to protect children's self-esteem and exchange trust for trust. He is not in a hurry, leaving enough space for the child to give him the opportunity to change step by step.

Not only that, after the male protagonist went to escape, he did not give severe criticism at the first time, did not encourage his classmates to exclude him in isolation, but let the teachers and students of the whole school share the responsibility. Similarly, the "accidental beating" behind the mother is even more obvious to the "negligence" of family education from the details. This highlights the value of the old principal's "moisturizing and silent" style.
Therefore, I think that while portraying the typical image of the old principal, the film is also calling on the family and society to give appropriate guidance and understanding to the "children who make mistakes".

After watching the movie, I thought and thought, I think the old principal is more like a grandfather who is well-versed and kind, and teachers such as "The Sound of Music" and Miao Miao are more like confidant sisters, and my impression of middle-aged male teachers is mainly serious and old-fashioned, even if not fierce. After all, movies are at a certain distance from life.
