Lv Zengxiang, the word Junzhi, the name Huangdao Mountain People, a native of Chuzhou, Anhui Province, is Yan Fu's "best friend" and "deacon's friend". Wu Rulun (1840-1903), known as Zhifu, was born in Tongcheng, Anhui Province. In the fourth year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1865), he was a scholar who entered the Shogunate of Zeng Guo Fan and Li Hongzhang, and was one of the "Four Disciples of Zengmen" and was known as the "different material" of "ancient literature, scriptures, and current literature". He regarded the governance of education and the revitalization of learning as a value pursuit, and after resigning, he lectured at Baoding Lianchi Academy for ten years. In 1902, Wu Rulun was appointed as the chief teacher of Beijing Normal University, but he went to Japan to inspect education, returned to China the following year, and founded Tongcheng School in his hometown.
