"Mr. Suqiu" is Weng Guiqing (1887-1968), the word Suqiu, a native of Wanning, Hainan, successively studied in Guangdong School of Political Science and Law, Meiji University in Japan, was originally a subordinate of Chen Jiongming, after Chen lost power, Weng's other business, in Guangdong Province officialdom smooth career, once served as the superintendent of Guangdong Customs, director of the East Guangdong Salt Bureau, etc., in 1946 as the mayor of Shantou. Friendly with painters, rich collection. Huang Binhong once mentioned in a letter with Bao Junbai in July 1946: "Weng Xunqiujun of Shantou City is fond of ancient and modern calligraphy and painting, and is now the mayor."
