Luo Ping is the youngest of the "Eight Monsters of Yangzhou" and is a figure in the "Eight Monsters of Yangzhou" palace. Luo Ping, born in Yangzhou, grew up in Yangzhou, his ancestral home is Anhui, he is an authentic Yangzhou native.
Luo Pingsheng had blue eyes and a nickname of "Ah Xi". His father, Luo Zhi, died when he was one year old, and his mother died prematurely. The loss of his parents at an early age caused great psychological trauma to Luo Ping. In order to survive, Luo Ping began to learn to paint from a young age. He knew that he had to have a craft to survive. Although he also wanted to sit in the academy and immerse himself in the study of the Four Books and Five Classics, for him, it was a good high bird. When their parents died, they left five young brothers (Luo Ping was the fourth son), and the brothers supported each other and spent the darkest moments of their lives.
Luo Ping's grandfather was a jinshi and served as a county commander of Wucheng (under the rule of Huzhou). The family has the old motto "Three generations do not read for the little people also". Therefore, Luo's good habit of hiring heavy poetry has not been slightly reduced, which can be seen from his twenty-four-year-old visit to the seventy-one-year-old Jin Nong as a teacher, and he has insight into his reading heart. Luo Ping was lucky to meet Fang Wanyi when he was young and weak. Fang Wanyi was born into a family of eunuchs, her life was very beautiful and good, and she was extremely talented, she studied poetry from two poets, Shen Dacheng and Xu Deyin, and was a famous female poet at that time. She was a year older than Luo Ping, and when the two were married, Fang Wanyi was already twenty-one years old. The reason for her late marriage: there is no one in the eyes of the talented woman. But I prefer the poor painter whose parents are dead and poor. Luo Ping's "Yi Unitary Day, Zhong Xueqiao started with the sentence "Everyone is pitiful in the day of life" given by Shi Fanshan people, and invited Jiang Xinyu taishi to write the same work, because it was also followed into three songs, not self-life and self-pity (part 1)", Shiyun:

In addition to giving birth to two sons and a daughter to Luo Ping, Fang Wanyi also encouraged Luo Ping to further study poetry and painting. Their two sons and one daughter, who are good at books and can paint, have become "Luo Jia Mei Pai", just like a painting academy. Yangzhou was still the richest place in all of China at that time, and there were often poetry clubs and pen meetings, and Luo Ping naturally attended often, but he found that his poetry was lacking, and he could not compare with his wife. After Luo Ping had this understanding, with the encouragement of Fang Wanyi, he decided to study poetry by Jin Nong.
Jin Nong is a generalist of poetry, calligraphy and painting, and after Luo Ping followed jin nong in his ancient years, he not only made great progress in poetry but also in painting. After watching Jinnong paint the Buddha once, Luo Ping sincerely sighed:
I am also a monk in the temple of flowers,
The executive depiction failed.
May the lamp of immeasurable wisdom,
Open my eyes to increase double light.
At that time, Jin Nong was already a rare old man, his wife, concubines, and daughters had all died, and he lived alone in a monk's office in the Sifang Temple in Yangzhou, where he could only put a narrow bed and a narrow table. Under Jinnong, he learned many skills, such as plums, flowers, figures, strange trees, etc., and made rapid progress, which laid a solid foundation for his future painting career. Because there were too many people asking for paintings, Jin Nong handed over some unimportant people who came to the door to ask for paintings to Luo Ping, let him ghostwrite, and then stamped his own seal after painting, and later generations rumored that some of the very exquisite paintings under Jin Nong's name were from Luo Ping's hands, so they became a public case in the painting world.
The couple took the initiative to take care of Jinnong. Jinnon's love for this disciple in his later years is the best reward for the unfair experience of his life. After Jin Nong's death, in accordance with his will, the husband and wife jointly supported the coffin to send him back to Hangzhou. In Hangzhou, they also paid special attention to Jinnong's close friend, Ding Jingsheng, who was already in his twilight years. Luo Ping specially brought a pair of brown shoes to Ding Jing, and the couple felt that it was difficult to see each other again, and proposed to Ding Jing to draw a picture of him as a thought. Ding Jing's old scene was unbearable, his family was in the middle of the road, and he did not want to pass on his true face to the world. However, in the face of Luo Ping's righteous deeds of thousands of miles of nurses returning to Hangzhou, Ding Jing really could not refuse. Therefore, there is a "statue of Mr. Ding Jingshen" in the world. Ding Jing specially gave the portrait poem "Sending the Poet Luo Jun's Husband back to Yangzhou", Shi Yun:
Guest time is more like flying,
That can send off the unyielding.
The spring breeze is not for the implication,
Night rain is biased to wet fishing.
Wine has no reason to be vain,
Although the dream soul is received, it is still faint.
But the rest of the matter is comforting,
The recluse painted me leaning on a stone statue to return.
Ding Jing also composed a song "Also promised brown shoes to the old man, and the reward was a must" to Luo Ping:
Give me brown shoes called skinny,
The edge cloud is about to reach its highest peak.
Idle moss new long furry,
Only Xu Grebe had seen the brown.
Throughout the ages, poetry exists because of painting, poetry exists in things, and names exist because of things. Luo Ping and Fang Wanyi also touched the literary world with filial piety, and the Yangzhou painting circle did not fail to praise the virtues of the couple.
Thirty-three years after Qianlong, the two Huai salts led to the occurrence of the case, Qianlong was furious, arrested a group of salt merchants escorted to the Beijing Division, salt government Gao Heng, Pu Fu, and the two Huai salt transport envoys Lu Jian Zeng were all punished with heavy ceremonies. Luo Ping was investigated and punished for his friendship with Lu Jian and his role as an "intermediary" in the Yan citation case, and his economic situation was also seriously affected. He chose to go north to sell paintings to support his family. Of course, he was also entrusted by the Yangzhou salt merchants to find a way for the "salt introduction case". As soon as he entered Beijing, he was able to frequently leave the Yinglian Mansion of Qianlong's close minister, and through Yinglian, he was exempted from the fine of 3.36 million taels of "salt introduction case". It can be seen that before middle age, Luo Hired, selling paintings was only a side business. When he really made a living from painting, he knew the sweetness and bitterness in it.
In the forty-second year of Qianlong, he went to Jiangxi to sell paintings and returned disappointed. When he returned to Tai'an, Shandong Province, he wrote the following poems with feeling. His helplessness in the inability to travel in the world, the insurmountable nostalgia for the eight far places, or only the gods and immortals can swim, mortals are insurmountable. The failure of this trip is like the towering South Heavenly Gate, although it cannot cross the world, but it is also a pure land of refuge, and in it, the wind is gusting, the loose waves are agitated, and it is even unforgettable. Immersed in this realm of refuge, the poet Li Bai's poems are preparing to disappear from here, but suddenly find that reality and ideals are incompatible, and they are trapped in a situation where they cannot hide. Luo Ping wrote "Climbing Mount Tai to the South Heavenly Gate", Shi Yun:
I want to swim in the eight poles, and the dangerous ladder can be borrowed.
Idle leans on the gate of heaven, still under the heavens.
I didn't see the jade girl, but I felt the dust and thank you.
Gang Feng was born under his feet, and listened to the loose waves.
The clouds are cold and cold, forgetting the hot summer.

In the forty-fourth year of Qianlong, he went north again. His wife, Fang Wanyi, is seriously ill, and Luo Ping is still stubborn. On the thirteenth day that Luo Ping left home, Fang Wanyi died of illness. From the poems that Luo Ping retained, it can be seen that he left Yangzhou on the sixth day of The first month of May, and only learned of his wife's death in August. He wrote in the poem: "On August 3, Wan hua Ting came from Yangzhou to Jing Shiyun: Yu Neizi died on May 19, and after hearing the letter, he could not stop mourning, because he wrote a long poem to be a weeping cloud", Shi Yun:
There is a full night in the absence of the moon,
Flowers fall and have branches.
Death without physiology,
I'm out and out.
To give to the undeserved,
Even if you don't know.
For this matter, Luo Ping was criticized by others. Especially those who understand Fang Wanyi's feelings for Luo Ping, they don't do anything to Luo Ping
Understanding is even more painful. After his wife's death, Luo Ping, in addition to being sad, also blamed himself, giving himself the nicknames of "Yiyun Monk" and "Yiyun Daoist", and never married again, at that time, Luo Ping was forty-seven years old. Luo Ping's trip did not yield much, and under the urging of his son, he returned to Yangzhou.
At this time, the two quasi-salt cases were closed. Luo Ping's run for this case has also been rewarded. In order to welcome Qianlong to the south of the Jiangnan, Yangzhou built a new Chongning Temple. Asking Luo Ping to paint a large mural in Chongning Temple, Luo Ping finally had a milestone of his own in Yangzhou, his paintings began to become popular, and his social status also changed, like a squire. The bridge is flat and wandering, and the red appendix is not skillful.

The mountain spirit comforts people, entertains the ears and entertains the eyes.

After the cabinet scholar Weng Fanggang took charge, Luo Ping went to Beijing again, and this trip was eight years, and at the end of the mix, he lay alone and sick in the Xiao Temple in the capital, and he was sick for a long time. But he was already "exhausted, and his debts were difficult to pay", and he was unable to return to his hometown. In desperation, Luo Ping copied a poem written by his wife Fang Wanyi and sent it to the dignitaries, hoping to win charity. Zeng Yi, the envoy of the two quasi-salt transporters, heard about his tragic situation in Beijing and sent him money so that Luo Ping could return to Yangzhou. A few months later, Luo Ping died of illness in Yangzhou at the age of sixty-seven.

Among the many subjects, Luo Ping's ink flowers are the most unique, and they are deeply rooted in the golden stone charm in Jinnong's works. Luo hired ghosts to describe the social situation and his own wishes. But Luo Ping said that these were all things he had seen with his own eyes, and he could see ghosts, which made him famous and caused jealousy. One of his compatriots saw this and advised him to wash his hands quickly and not to cause trouble, and Luo Ping finally returned to his hometown after listening.
