Wu Tong seems to be in line with everyone's cognition of a boy who has excellent grades in science and engineering. In 2018, full of expectations for university life, he came from the coastal city of Qingdao to Xi'an, the ancient capital of the 13th Dynasty, and began a new university life. Interested, he enrolled in the school and studied electronic information engineering, and after two consecutive years of unremitting efforts, he transferred to the Excellence in Automation class in the first semester of his sophomore year. In the first semester of his junior year, he had completed 123 credits, more than half of whom had scored more than 4 grade points, 5 courses with full marks, and 32 courses with more than 90 points. Referring to the college English level 4 and 6 exams that made many students shout "headaches", Wu Tong said with some shyness that he almost passed the "naked test" and completed the goals of the university English level 4 test (632 points) and the college English level 6 test (570 points) in the spring and autumn semesters of the first year.

With excellent results, he not only filled his young world with professional learning, he also participated in the school's dormitory cultural festival, debate competition, tug-of-war competition, tracking car competition, reading month knowledge competition, LED light making competition, electronic production competition and other activities, and also served as a volunteer, participating in the "net" poisonous positive energy publicity practice activities and the "Warm Star Child" volunteer activities.

Due to his excellent overall performance, he won the school's three best students, 203 scholarship, first-class academic scholarship, innovation and entrepreneurship scholarship and other honors.

Asked if he balances the relationship between school, life and ambition, Wu Tong laughed and said, "My procrastination is all solved by 'things'. He is accustomed to having a life full of things he likes, and although there is no schedule, he can manage a wide range of tasks and balance the relationship between learning, life and interests.

Wu Tong, who likes artificial intelligence and loves electronic information majors, participated in a number of domestic competitions during high school, and this interest continues to this day, and the full competition award certificates during the undergraduate period have become his youth growth mark.

In the first semester of his sophomore year, he and three teammates participated in the "BRICS Young Makers Competition" (referred to as the BRICS Young Makers Competition) of the Belt and Road and BRICS Skills Development and Technological Innovation Competition. The competition attracted more than 380 players from 58 universities across the country, such as Xi'an Jiaotong University, Chongqing University, and China University of Petroleum. The competition was the first hardcore national competition he had participated in since he entered college. The four team members trusted and supported each other in the competition, and finally won the second prize at the national level. To this day, the difficulties encountered when he first competed, the nervous excitement when the results were announced, and even the scene of everyone huddled in the carriage of the truck carrying the equipment on the way back and fell asleep still makes him remember it vividly. The "power of team spirit" also had a profound impact on his subsequent growth and development. The experience of mathematical modeling taught him the important role of "keeping an agile mind" in the face of challenges. From the prediction planning of the competition time, to the flexible handling of problem analysis, to the reasoning and clarity that must be paid attention to when writing the paper, the team members need to maintain agile thinking at all times, and these accumulations have become his valuable assets as a science and engineering student.

Academic performance is excellent, the competition is very rewarding, but youth does not seem to be limited and defined. Growing up along the way, while practicing himself, Wu Tong also gained the "comrades-in-arms" who fought side by side. In the view of Liu Zhaozuo, who has participated in many competitions with him, Wu Tong is a "very hard worker", he is not only a person with perseverance who can write code, conceive mathematical models, and write papers all night, but also a person with extremely rich hobbies. Wu Tong, who loves music after studying, has obtained the eighth grade certificate of piano amateur of the Central Conservatory of Music, and whenever he plays his favorite music, the pressure is completely released. In addition, he loved sports and participated in the 2019 Xi'an Bahe International Half Marathon and successfully ran the full course. While the physical fitness has been exercised, it has also honed its will.

In Wu Tong's view, the road to growth has never been smooth, and in the journey of realizing its own ideals and all-round development, flowers and thorns are destined to accompany each other, and opportunities and challenges coexist. Looking back on the past two years of university life, he has experienced many difficulties and has also reaped fruitful results in the grinding.
