On October 13, Wu Tong, member of the Standing Committee of the District Committee and chairman of the District Federation of Trade Unions, went to Guihu Street to investigate the work of the Women's Federation and held a discussion and exchange meeting, accompanied by Yang Daolin, deputy secretary of the Party Working Committee and secretary of the Discipline Work Committee of Guihu Street, and relevant responsible comrades of the District Women's Federation.
Wu Tong and his party inspected the homes of koala bears and the micro-homes of women in the community in Guidong, and gained an in-depth understanding of the work carried out by the Guihu Street Women's Federation to mobilize female party members and retired female cadres to take the lead in participating in community governance, providing an activity position for women and children in the jurisdiction, and building a safe, interesting and vibrant child-friendly community. At the forum, Wu Tong listened to reports made by representatives of the district women's federation and the grass-roots women's federation on the work of the women's federations in various fields.
Wu Tong affirmed the achievements of the work of the Women's Federation at the current stage, and at the same time put forward guiding opinions on continuing to do a good job in the work of the Women's Federation. He pointed out that adhering to party building to lead the work of women and children, conscientiously implementing the party's principles and lines, strengthening organizational construction, and doing a good job in policy publicity; actively responding to women and children's yearning for a better life, taking their needs as the starting point, innovating ways and methods to promote the development of work; vigorously attracting outstanding women in all fields to participate in the work of the Women's Federation, creating a platform for participation, condensing strength, stimulating vitality, and cultivating the banner of women; sorting out and integrating administrative resources, social resources, and market resources in the jurisdiction, and providing manpower, intelligence, and resources for the work of women and children. Support from all aspects such as funds; actively explore new service methods, carry out new fields and new group service work, and promote the better and faster development of the work of the women's federation in the whole region; fully explore the highlights, refine the characteristics of practices, innovate mechanisms, and create the brand of the Xindu Women's Federation.
