With the theme of "Co-governance by the Whole People and Tackling Environmental Protection", this year's "2016-2017 Green China Person of the Year" will continue to uphold the three major selection criteria of "public welfare", "action" and "influence" to find outstanding social figures or collectives. Zheng Wenchun

Yu Qi

Comrade Yu Qi has been fighting on the environmental protection front for 32 years, has 22 years of grassroots environmental protection work experience, is an expert in environmental supervision and total emission reduction, is the elder and business leader of the regional environmental protection supervision agency, and is known as "a sharp knife of the South China Supervision Bureau of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment".

He is still fighting in the front line of environmental protection inspectors in his fifties, specializing in hard bones and fighting hard battles. He has participated in 4 central environmental protection inspectors, many special inspections, many major environmental violation cases, major pollution emergency investigations, and won many environmental protection hard battles, and his work results and professionalism have been widely recognized by the national environmental protection system.

In the spirit of nailing nails, through more than ten years of environmental protection supervision, he forced the transformation and upgrading of the lead and antimony smelting industry in Hechi City, and the quality of economic development was significantly improved, and the environmental quality was significantly improved.
