Born in 2000, Sun Qikai is a staff member of Shandong Special Industry Group Co., Ltd., a member of China North Industries Group, and although he is young, in order to protect the lives and property of the masses, he stepped forward at a critical moment, did not fear danger, and ran into the fire field to eliminate dangerous situations, thus setting an example for the vast number of young people.
On the afternoon of February 20, 2021, he found a thick smoke rising from a house not far away on his way to work, and without a moment's hesitation, he immediately ran to the place where the fire broke out, and found that the place of fire was located in a two-story courtyard built by residents themselves, and the fire spread rapidly. Sun Qikai picked up a 10-kilogram fire extinguisher from the guard room and rushed into the smoke without hesitation. Soon one of the fire extinguishers ran out, but the flames were still large and the smoke was thick. He immediately rushed out of the fire and ran to the second communication room more than 200 meters away, lifted two fire extinguishers and rushed into the fire again, the fire was basically controlled, but there were still many embers in the yard that had not been extinguished. He took the fire extinguisher sent by the neighbor and rushed into the smoke for the third time without hesitation, until the hidden danger was completely eliminated. Due to inhaling a large amount of smoke and dry powder for fire extinguishing, Sun Qikai fainted from carbon monoxide poisoning and fainted on the ground, and the surrounding residents sent him to the hospital in time for rescue before turning the crisis into safety.
"Fighting fires is an instinctive reaction of people, and at that time there was only one thought in my mind: grasp the fire and protect the lives and property of residents!" Sun Qikai's words were moving. On June 23, 2021, Sun Qikai was named "Zibo City Sees Righteousness and Courage as a Model".
