In addition to the long-lasting sorrow of time, in Feng Yanwei's view, the sorrow is really everywhere between heaven and earth, just as a song sings, "Wildfires are gently burning, I have nowhere to escape." Let's look at another of his poems, "Picking Mulberries":

It seems that this is a love song, but who can say that this is not Feng Yanmi's summary of his life. Feng Yanshu also wrote in another poem, "How much do the old sorrows and new hatreds know, and the eyes are far away", which also writes about the spatial consciousness of the ubiquity of sorrow.

It is the purpose of all religions in the world to be bitter and happy, and it is also the ultimate goal that man pursues. But life is always full of joy and sorrow. There are joys and sorrows in life, there are "light boats have passed through ten thousand heavy mountains"; there are also "mountain rains are about to come and the wind is full of buildings". The process of life is a process of intertwining joy and sorrow. The problem is that people always want to get, but do not want to lose, people always want to be happy and lasting and sorrow is no more, so the loss after getting, the loss after joy, is really the most sad thing in life. And the real master of writing sorrows can always compare the former joy with the new sorrows, and the sorrows always sweep in at the moment of the climax, writing the intensity of the sorrows. When I got up in the middle of the night, the moonlight was as bright as white silk, and the night sky was as soft and calm as water.

Feng Yanshu said that his worries came suddenly, and after only one night, he was already haggard. Such an example of using joy and loss as a sharp contrast, in Feng Yanmi's words, there are many more, such as "there is no place to say before the calendar, guan shan and when to leave", such as "thousands of miles away, still remember the song last night", and so on. The joy of last night and the desolation of today, such a sharp contrast, made the melancholy have a strong impact, so that Feng Yanmi was "thinking about it overnight into a haggard".

"Last night's song is easy to disperse, and the wine awakens to add infinite sorrow", life is always a process of changing from happiness to sorrow to happiness and sorrow, and in Feng Yanmi's tragic vision, the happiness of life cannot last, often it is the process of happiness and sorrow, which is also the common experience of our human beings. Only by writing words that are commonly experienced by human beings can they have lasting vitality.

From this, we can see the obvious difference between Feng Yanmi's words and the words between the Western Shu flowers, that is, the intellectuals have a strong sense of worry and worry about the world, compared with the red fragrance of the words between the flowers, which is crisp and soft, and obviously carries the sadness of life and the sorrow of life. The later Lord Li Hou pushed this personalized personal lyricism to the peak, from "Asking the jun how many sorrows, just like a river of spring water flowing eastward" to "how can life be avoided, how can the soul be destroyed", the personal sorrow and joy have written out the philosophical thoughts of the universality of life, which is a clear sign of the Southern Tang Dynasty poets, and Feng Yanwei is obviously walking in front of Li Hou Lord.

Although life is full of sorrows, we still have to pursue beauty. Even in the face of the imperfections of life, Feng Yanwei is pursuing the beautiful in the end. Feng Yanshu expressed his yearning for a better life in a rather folk-style poem:

Spring feast, green wine a glass of song again. Goodbye to Chen Sanzhi: one wish lang jun chitose, two wishes concubines chang jian, three wishes like Liang Shangyan, the years to see each other.
