After reading 10 books in 30 days, is it difficult?

It's not that this is a great record, nor is it the reading ability to blow rice cakes.

My own children know that reading this road independently, rice cake is not a child who will go on the road quickly, I have been anxious and have taken detours.
Pushing him to complete this reading challenge is a "step forward" for rice cakes and a "step back" for me as a mother.
The beginning of the story is unremarkable.
That day, when Rice Cake was at home with me to tidy up the bookcase, he talked about my reading.
I did the math and told him I could read 10 books in almost a month.
"Can I read 10 books a month?" He asked curiously.
"Of course you can! Do you want to try to challenge it? I said.
As soon as it hit it off, the little teenager's competitive spirit was provoked.
The book is also ready-made, rice cake this year into the pit Zheng Yuanjie, the shelf on the "Pipilu and Rusisi" after reading, just started with the "Shuk Beta Biography", just a set of 10 volumes, and is a phonetic version, in line with his reading ability.

I told him:
"Making a plan to have a margin, such as reading more when you want to read it and have time, and reading more at the beginning, will make us more confident."
So I made this form with him to manage the progress.
You see, he read page 59 in one breath that night.
This is Mochi's first reading challenge program.
I probably have a number in mind, for him, this goal is not difficult to heaven, but it is definitely not easy.
Let him be responsible for recording the number of pages and progress, and you can use this most intuitive way to get some basic project management exercises, even if it fails in the end, he can see the reason for himself.
Didn't choose any great masterpieces, classics, (Teacher Zheng Yuanjie: Who said that?) But it is a book that Mochi himself likes from the bottom of his heart.
Our first goal is to complete this challenge together!
It's easy to blow up, but it's hard to hold on to it all the time.
Day one, 59 pages, was fine.
The next day, 27 pages, read the first book.
The third day... I went on a business trip.
On the fourth day, I went live.
I remember that the reading punch card with the rice cake has just begun, and every day I say on the video phone: "Today's reading task remember to be completed!" And the cake father always has a face of "you can work with peace of mind and leave it to me."
On the fifth day, I rushed home after work, and before I could speak, I reported to me after playing the sweaty rice cake:
"Mom, I'm going to finish the second book today, and I'm going to finish reading one in three days."
I was still whispering in my heart: so planned, worthy of my cub!
Then I took the opportunity to sneak into the cake room and look at the record sheet - the fourth day, page 2.
What the? 2 pages? (The ten thousand heads of the heart are omitted here...) ）
Well, face it. After eating quickly, I urged the rice cake to brush her teeth and wear braces, take a bath, complete all my homework, and finally, at 8 p.m., I opened the book.
The second book, with 72 pages left.
He asked me a little hesitantly, "Can you finish reading it today?" ”
I replied to him, "It's a little difficult, it depends on how focused you are." ”
"What if I'm done reading it?"
"Then you'll get my respect."
Yes, there's no extra bonus, but I'm not going to underestimate the weight of the phrase "you'll get my respect" on a boy.
After saying that, I went to the gym, practiced for an hour and went back to the rice cake room, good guys, finished watching!
Cake Dad said that Mochi had been sitting at his desk and had never gotten up.
It's really a bit of a shame.
On the fifth day, after the extraordinary play, followed by the weekend, the rice cake read two more books in one breath.
By day 11, I had read 5 books and was halfway through.
With a goal, I recorded my progress myself, and after that day, I decided not to care about him anymore.
One or two days he didn't want to read, and another day or two he wanted to read some other books to change his taste, and came to me and asked me, "Is it okay?" ”
When a "step back" mother hid his merits and names, I didn't even bother with his record sheet.
(Actually...) Every night after the rice cake fell asleep, I would still creep into his room, open the mobile phone to sneak a glance at the record sheet, and then check whether he put the next book in the bag, this thief's happiness, never tell the rice cake! ）
Then again, on school days, it's challenging to keep reading. Football training after school, eating and doing homework and bathing after going home and playing with my brother for a while, going to bed at 9 o'clock in time, the time that can be left to read, it really depends on the crowd.
For the sake of the goal, there will always be a squeeze of time, both adults and children.

In the end, it took Mochi 26 days to complete his reading challenge.
The team member asked me, "Rice cake is so powerful, is there any reward for him?" ”
The answer is no. The sense of accomplishment of completing the challenge itself, the joy of reading, is enough reward.
And the part that surprised me the most was that during the ten-day long vacation after the reading challenge, Mochi arranged his own reading time every day and read five or six books.
At this moment, I can firmly say that reading is no longer a simple task for rice cakes, but a real pleasure.
Back half a year ago, rice cake had just begun to enter the stage of independent reading, and I was also secretly anxious about him that he could not read a few pages for half an hour.
At that time, I bought him a bunch of books listed on the classic, must-read, award-winning book list, and pushed him to read it.
The child looks at it, but the progress is very slow. When I noticed that he rarely discussed the contents of the book with us, with a "it was my mother who showed me, it was a task", I knew that this could not be done this way.
I took him to the bookstore to choose his own books, listened to him talk about what books his classmates were reading, put more "funny" books such as Weird Jezoro Li and Ass Detective on his bookshelf, introduced him to Zheng Yuanjie and Shen Shixi, who I loved to read most when I was a child, and also found him a non-mainstream reading book like "Sports Book" (he read it many times). These contents from the perspective of children can really enter their hearts.
As long as the child is willing to open the book, it is more important than what to read and how much to read.
Reading books, do not need any baggage, simply enjoy the pleasure of reading, this is the freedom I only got until I was in my 30s, I think, this is also the best gift I can give to rice cakes.
