Yue Yang discovered the tomb of Wu Minshu, a qing dynasty master

Huasheng Online, January 2 (reporter Xu Yaping correspondent Peng Xinhua) "Yueyang found the tomb of the Qing Dynasty literary scholar Wu Minshu and found a fragment of Wu Badger's handwriting. Recently, the reporter came to the Shuangtang Group of Guozhen Township, Yueyang Lou District, Yueyang City, and met Wu Heping, the guardian of Wu Minshu's cemetery. He said that his great-grandfather had been here to guard the cemetery since 1873, and his family had been guarding the cemetery for 6 generations for 145 years.

Wu Minshu (1805-1873), a famous writer and historian of the Qing Dynasty, a native of Baling (Yueyang) County, was familiar with reading the collection of scriptures and history since childhood, immersed himself in research and learning, and became a well-known ancient scholar at home and abroad, writing millions of words. Wu Minshu and Zuo Zongtang are the same people, and they sing with Zeng Guofan. Zeng Guofan urged Wu Minshu to serve as the governor of Liangjiang, but Wu Wan refused. In 1873, Wu Minshu went to Changsha to revise the "Hunan Tongzhi", died of illness in his apartment, and was buried in the Yueyang family cemetery. Guo Songtao, a famous diplomat in the late Qing Dynasty and a Xiangyin man, commented: "The grandeur of articles in Hunan in the past two hundred years was first recommended by Zeng Wu. "Zeng" refers to Zeng Guofan, and "Wu" means Wu Minshu.

Wu Heping led the reporter to an abandoned red brick factory in the village, pointed to a corner and said, "This is Wu Minshu's cemetery." He introduced that Wu Minshu's tomb is surrounded by long hemp stones and large green bricks, and it is solid triad soil. When he was a child, his father worked in the fields, and he played by the cemetery, not afraid at all. Unfortunately, in 1958, the cemetery was destroyed, and only a fragment of the stele remained. On the stele, the words "Linxiang Wu Badger Shudan" and other words are clearly legible.

From 1958 onwards, Wu Heping's family broke off contact with their hometown, a large house in Wufu, Rongjiawan Town, Yueyang County. He explained: "The tomb was destroyed, and there was no face to see the people. However, for so many years, every year on the Qingming Festival, I had to bring my sons and grandsons to the cemetery to worship. Great-grandfather's promise, we must stick to it. ”

Wu Daping, a villager who came from a large house in Rongjiawan Town, Yueyang County, Wu Minshu's hometown, was very excited: "Wu Minshu is our pride. Over the years, we have been looking for his graveyard, and his literary wealth and good qualities are worth inheriting. ”
