Ouyang Xiu : Zi Yong Shu (字永叔), courtesy name Drunken Weng (号醉翁), was a native of Yongfeng County, Jizhou (present-day Yongfeng County, Jiangxi Province), courtesy name Wenzhong, known as Ouyang Wenzhonggong, and was an outstanding politician, writer, and historian of the Northern Song Dynasty. Ouyang Xiu lost his father at the age of four, his family was poor and disillusioned, and his mother Zheng wrote on the sand with reeds and taught him to read. He was gifted and often borrowed books to copy.
