Do you know Wensheng and Wusheng?

In the beginning, wasn't Wensheng a Confucius? But in Confucius's later life, there were also people who were called saints. Wu Sheng is talking about Guan Yu during the Three Kingdoms period, and he is also talking about Jiang Taigong.

The word holy had a high status in ancient times. It refers to a person who is proficient in a certain knowledge or skill and has a very high degree of achievement, and by extension, it refers to the sacred, etc., and is also used to praise things related to the emperor.

Known in ancient times as holy were Confucius, the Duke of Zhou.

1. One of Wensheng: Zhou Gong

This is called Wen Sheng, Zhou Gongye; Wu Zu, Jiang Shangye. Wu Zu, there is no controversy, the world is public. Revered as the founder of Confucianism, he is one of the most revered ancient saints of Confucius.

In the early Western Zhou Dynasty, he was an outstanding politician, military, thinker, and educator, and was revered as a "Yuan Sheng" and a pioneer of Confucianism. Jiang Taigong was good at martial arts, and Zhou Gongdan was good at literature, so the hundred sons and hundreds of families honored Zhou Gongdan with Wensheng and Jiang Taigong with Wusheng.

From the Spring and Autumn Warring States period to the Tang Dynasty, Zhou Gongdan and Jiang Taigong were revered by the world as the second saint of literature and martial arts.

The Analects record Confucius's remarks: "Even if I am decaying! Jiu Yiwu no longer dreamed of seeing Zhou Gong."

2. Wensheng No. 2: Confucius

Confucius's idea of "teaching without class" has epoch-making significance in the history of educational development. It advocates that there is no distinction between the noble and the lowly, regardless of the borders, as long as there is a desire to learn, you can enroll in school and be taught, creating a precedent for the popularization of education.

Confucianism, referred to as Confucianism, is the most influential school in China and the mainstream consciousness of ancient China. Confucianism has had a profound influence on China, East Asia, and the world.

3. One of the martial saints: Jiang Taigong

Jiang Ziya was an outstanding politician, military strategist, and Tao Strategist in ancient China, the founding father of the Zhou Dynasty, and the founder of military science in the late Shang Dynasty and the early Zhou Dynasty. Fishing on the shores of the Weishui River, he met Ji Chang, the Marquis of Xibo, and worshipped him as "Taishi" (military attaché's name), honored taigong wang, became the chief think tank, and assisted Ji Chang in establishing a hegemony. After King Wu of Zhou ascended the throne, he was honored as "Father Shi Shang" and became the military commander of the Zhou Kingdom, known as Jiang Shang. Assist King Wu in destroying shang and establishing the Zhou Dynasty.

4. Wu Sheng No. 2: Guan Yu

After Guan Yu's death, he was gradually deified, and the people respected him as "Guan Gong", and the imperial court of successive dynasties was praised, and the Qing Dynasty was enshrined as "The Loyal God Wu Ling You Ren Yong Wei Xian Guan Sheng The Great", revered as "Wu Sheng", and "Wen Sheng" Confucius was equally famous. The Romance of the Three Kingdoms honors him as the head of the "Five Tiger Generals" of the Shu Kingdom, and Mao Zonggang calls him the "Righteous Absolute" of the Three Absolutes of the Romance.

If you lived in or before the Tang Dynasty, then from the Spring and Autumn Warring States period to the Tang Dynasty, Zhou Gongdan and Jiang Taigong were revered by the world as the second saint of literature and martial arts.

In the Qing Dynasty, Wensheng was Confucius and Wusheng was Guan Yu, which is also our current view.
