China is the world's largest rice producer, because the main raw material for inositol production is rice bran, so for many years, it has been the world's largest producer and exporter of inositol, and the export volume accounts for a large part of the world. According to data from the China Starch Industry Association, in 2018, China's inositol imports amounted to 15 tons, with an import amount of 545,000 US dollars; inositol exported 5899 tons, with an export amount of 33.645 million US dollars.

From the perspective of import and export unit prices, in 2018, the unit price of inositol in China was 36307 US dollars / ton, and the export unit price was 5704 US dollars / ton.
