Colt 45 "Deadly Gunfire" _ The inflection point of fate, chance and inevitability

author:Thirteen days of talks

First of all, it's a French film.

Then, this low-budget movie didn't catch fire either.

In an era when heroes blew up everything you could see, nothing else seemed to be hot, let alone this French movie.

It doesn't matter, the film is very simple, like the title of the movie called Colt45, which is named after a gun. You may be more familiar with another name for this gun: Type 1911.

1911, the famous gun of World War II, the last reliable weapon of american soldiers on the front line, was also for a long time afterwards, and the sense of security it brought was probably more needed by soldiers than the power of this gun.

Interestingly, 60% of American soldiers in France are equipped with this gun, so it is normal for this French film to be named after it.

Pulling back, disputes are inevitable things that happen between people, and it is also a kind of infinite possibility of escalation, quarreling, hands-on, copying guys... If you have a gun with you and you have an argument with someone else, the gun is the solution.

The male protagonist of the film is a very ordinary ordnance artist, who deals with guns, but has nothing to do with "solving with guns", he is a person who strives to "avoid fighting", a shooting range hero.

The plot can be seen in the movie, and we mainly talk about the so-called "inflection point of fate" in the movie.

Let us first assume that fate is predestined, that all experiences in the whole process of fate are bound to occur, so that we can get out of the route planned by destiny, which is an ideal state.

But everything cannot exist alone, it is more or less connected with other things, and these connections occasionally produce uncertain factors that affect this ideal state, and these uncertainties are the causes of the so-called "inflection point of fate".

This is true of "people", and so is "things", such as "the fate of the gun is to shoot".

Let's assume that all these uncertainties are actually part of the fate, and the "inflection point" is inevitable, then there is another variable, that is, the "amplitude of the inflection point".

It can be understood that regardless of whether the "inflection point of fate" is inevitable or accidental, it appears, and at this point the direction of the fate line may have twists and turns, which is a 360-degree possibility, and the final direction will depend on many factors, which are the external forces that affect the "fate" itself; if the line of fate is consistent, the most correct line is the direction that is least affected, that is, the most "self" line.

The film strongly illustrates this point,

Destiny Line 1: The protagonist. Although dealing with guns, but trying to avoid fighting, after winning the shooting championship of the "secret government agency" recruitment, police bosses and colleagues of the invitation, he refused, including unreasonable bullying have endured, he hopes to maintain his fate line, quietly live in his own small world, these are the normal "fate inflection points" he experienced above, it is relatively easy to maintain the "self", towards the "destined" fate route.

Destiny Line 2: The colt45 pistol worn by the protagonist. The fate line of the gun is simple and very "self" - shooting, because it is attached to the fate of the protagonist, it is only maintained at the range.

Destiny Line n: All other fate lines that have an impact on the protagonist, set in the film to constantly produce various influencing factors that push the protagonist into the fight.

Originally, the protagonist maintained the direction well in the "inflection point of fate", but the influencing factors actively set up a round that produced a strong "inflection point" - let people deliberately find trouble for the protagonist, in which the protagonist still tried to maintain himself, avoid fighting, and maintain the destiny line of fate, unfortunately, but triggered the "doomed fate" - colt45 pistol shooting that had no active influence.

Dead man, this variable is too powerful, even if the protagonist still maintains the "self", trying to maintain his "destined destiny", calling his boss, the result is a new "variable", the boss did not answer, in the "inflection point of fate" to the direction of the "self" is completely opposite.

The process is cruel, the chain produces the "inflection point of fate" of the originally unrelated people, the so-called deadly gunshot, because the person who should not have died, so the protagonist killed the person he should not have killed, and the "amplitude of the inflection point" is far from the "self" route.

The fate of the crossover in the film, after encountering the "inflection point of fate", only the fate of the gun is very "self", because it is very simple, so it is consistent.

An interesting conclusion is drawn: the more "influencing factors" are considered, the more difficult it is to maintain "self" in the "inflection point of fate" and move in the right direction.

Of course, perhaps it does not affect the result, the end of the film colt45 pistol returns to the protagonist's hands, suggesting that the protagonist accepted the recruitment, the so-called fate is predestined, in the "inflection point of fate" only accidentally increased the inevitable twists and turns, different lines are going to the same result.

If the protagonist of the film had accepted the recruitment at the initial "inflection point of fate", there would have been no later events, and if he had not had the colt45 pistol, he might not have become an ordnancener, and there would have been no original "inflection point of fate" in the film.

These are all hypotheses, isn't that what the movie plays?

We can't change the outcome of fate, but we can change the course of fate.
