The first bandit of the New China Tianzi, killed 15 people in a row, confessed: Killing people in front of my mother, I can't do it

On the night of March 31, 1996, a gunshot rang out in Shijingshan District, Beijing, announcing the beginning of the "Baibaoshan Extraordinarily Large Armed Murder and Robbery Case". In the following two years, Bai Baoshan wandered around Beijing, Xinjiang, Hebei and other places, killing 15 innocent people and robbing more than 1.4 million yuan.

Because of the cruelty of Bai Baoshan's methods and bad influence when committing crimes, they were rare since the founding of the People's Republic of China, and they were praised as the first criminal case of Tianzi since the founding of the People's Republic of China. In order to arrest Baibaoshan, the state dispatched tens of thousands of police personnel. There are many labels about this case, "Case No. 1 of 1996", "The First of the Top Ten Cases in China in 1997", "The Third Most Important Case in the World in 1996", "Murderer with Coordinate Position in the History of Criminal Investigation in China".

Perhaps in people's impressions, Bai Baoshan is still deliberately portrayed as a sentient criminal in the TV series "China Criminal Investigation No. 1", but in fact, this is not the case at all. "Thin, tall, oily and slippery", this is Bai Baoshan's first impression of the police who arrested him.

In 1983, it was a special time. Bai Baoshan, 25, was sentenced to four years in prison for theft, and two years later, Bai Baoshan was suddenly accused of a retrial of his case, resulting in an additional 10 years in prison. It turned out that a fellow inmate who was in the same case as him reported that Bai Baoshan had also blocked the road and robbed, which meant that Bai Baoshan would stay in prison for 12 years.

The long sentence made Bai Baoshan disheartened, and his newlywed wife was far away from him, and he began to have the idea of revenge on society after he was released from prison. In 1991, Bai Baoshan was written off his Beijing hukou and sent to a labor reform farm in Xinjiang to undergo reform.

After his arrest, Bai Baoshan confessed, "I thought at that time, that I would be released from prison in the future, and that my age would not be small, and that it would certainly not be possible to kill people and throw stones and sticks, so I thought of retaliating with a gun." In March 1996, Bai Baoshan was released from prison and quickly returned to Beijing.

Back in Beijing, where he had been away for many years, Bai Baoshan began his own plan of revenge, starting with attacking the sentry and grabbing the gun, and walking step by step to the road of no return. At 7 p.m. on September 5, 1997, Bai Baoshan was captured by the police. When the police knocked on the door of Bai Baoshan's residence, he had the opportunity to fight back, or kill the police to escape, why did he finally give up?

Bai Baoshan's trial revealed the truth, "I wanted to shoot them (the police who came to arrest him), but my mother came in, and I couldn't fight them." I can't bear to kill people in front of my mother, which I can't do..." In April 1998, Bai Baoshan was executed by shooting, and a ruthless criminal got the end he deserved.
