Chiang Kai-shek did not believe that Lin Biao would be so loyal, and Zheng Jiemin's notes became a secret

author:Reed says history

Chiang Kai-shek was a dark man and a very deep city government, and he never smiled, but whenever he talked to people about the Whampoa Military Academy, the stronghold of his fight against the world, he was like a changed person.

During his tenure as president of the Whampoa Military Academy, Chiang Kai-shek trained a total of 23 Whampoa cadets, of which the first and fourth graduating cadets were the ones he was most proud of. Lü Mengxiong, He Zhihan, Song Xilian, Hu Zongnan, and Du Yuming, all of whom were good generals and talents in the first period, all grew up under the command of Chiang Kai-shek.com. There were more outstanding talents in the fourth phase, and most of them later became the leaders of the Kuomintang military circles, such as Hu Lian, who was the same as Liu Bocheng as the "undefeated general", and Zhang Lingfu, Pan Yukun, Gao Jiren, and Liu Yuzhang, all of whom were from the fourth period.

But there was one person among these so-called "high-ranking disciples" that Chiang Kai-shek could not let go of, and that person was Lin Biao. Lin Biao was also a Whampoa cadet and a student of Principal Jiang, but he made the Kuomintang troops suffer on the battlefield later. At the military and political meeting before the decisive battle of Liaoshen, Chiang Kai-shek once strangled his wrist and sighed: "... This person is Lin Biao. I want to praise him, he is the best general in Whampoa because he defeated both his seniors and instructors. My principal was derelict in his duties, and he did not care enough about him in Whampoa, so that he defected to the Communist Party. I care a lot about all of you here, but it disappoints me very much, and I am very sad. ”

In fact, Lin Biao had contact with Chiang Kai-shek during his time in Huangpu, and Chiang Kai-shek also co-opted Lin Biao to serve him. It's just that he doesn't realize that it is precisely because of his own negligence that he has missed talent.

In the winter of 1925, at the age of eighteen, Lin Biao was admitted to the Whampoa Army Officer School and became a member of more than 2,000 fourth-term students. This young man from Huanggang, Hubei Province, with a thin body and a soft voice like gold, suffered from a poor image of yellow ringworm when he was a child, and at first he was just invisible to everyone. However, Lin Biao underwent a systematic education from private school to high school, had a solid cultural foundation, and was flexible and keen, and soon highlighted the potential of good generals.

At that time, Chiang Kai-shek was the principal of the Whampoa Military Academy, and he regarded this place as a political gold mine, poured great efforts into it, and devoted himself to the construction of the military academy. On this day, Chiang Kai-shek inspected Huangpu Island, and just happened to encounter the fourth phase of infantry in a tactical class, so he sat lightly in the last row of the classroom and sounded interesting. The case of the tactics class is chiang kai-shek's command of the eastern expeditionary army to conquer the battle of Huizhou, Chen Jiongming's old lair, and he used his victory in this battle to establish the military reputation in one fell swoop. According to the requirements of the class, each student took the podium to analyze the victory factors in the Battle of Huizhou.

The students took to the stage one after another, each expressing their own opinions, and Chiang Kai-shek just listened quietly, without commenting or disapproving, until Lin Biao stepped onto the stage. Lin Biao was not as imposing as the other students, and his expression and tone were slightly timid, but he methodically drew a strategic topographic map of the Battle of Huizhou, marked the city, buildings, rivers, mountains, etc., and made a good use of the situation of the two sides in the war, the course of the war, and so on. Chiang Kai-shek, who was sitting under the podium, was overjoyed with this student in his heart, and predicted that he would become a talent in the future, so he walked out of the classroom at the moment and instructed his entourage to call Lin Biao to the principal's office after class.

At this moment, Chen Lifu, the secretary of the principal's office, knocked on the door and came in, telling Chiang Kai-shek that Wang Jingwei had also landed on Huangpu Island and invited Chiang Kai-shek to meet to discuss government affairs. The Whampoa Military Academy was a base painstakingly run by Chiang Kai-shek, and Wang Jingwei was inserted as a party representative, and he was still the chairman of the National Government in Guangzhou at that time, and Guangdong was its sphere of influence. When Chiang Kai-shek heard that Wang Jingwei was coming, he scolded "Niang Xipi" and slammed the door, leaving Lin Biao alone in the principal's room.

Their first meeting was such a displeasure that Chiang Kai-shek's move made Lin Biao still have a heart decades later, and he always thought that Chiang Kai-shek did not even say hello, and did not pay attention to him at all. A few months later, Chiang Kai-shek approached Lin Biao and promised him that he could work in the General Headquarters after graduation, but Lin Biao had secretly joined the revolutionary ranks, and with the knot left by the first meeting, he chose to refuse.

Shortly after Chiang Kai-shek and Lin Biao talked, Lin Biao immediately made a report to Xiong Xiong, secretary of the Huangpu Party Group of the CPC, and Xiong Xiong clearly instructed at that time: "You should win over Chiang Kai-shek to work, and that will play a greater role." Since Comrade Chen Geng left the General Headquarters, our work has weakened a lot, and now we have a rare opportunity; after the Zhongshan incident, Chiang Kai-shek began to turn to the right, and you can use your influence to make it less instigated by the rightists, maintain the situation of the unity of the Kuomintang and the Communists, and strive for victory in the Northern Expedition. Lin Biao listened to such an arrangement and made up his mind to win the work of the General Headquarters. However, Chiang Kai-shek reneged on his word and turned Lin Biao's full hopes into cold disappointment, and it was not until all of Huangpu's classmates were assigned that he realized that he had been tricked.

Later, through the hands of Nie Rongzhen, Lin Biao finally went to the Ye Ting Independent Regiment, and from then on began his brilliant military journey, after which he went out of Jiangxi, made trouble in Eight Fujian, fought in Changsha, and became famous in the world.

On September 13, 1971, a major event that shocked the world occurred in Chinese mainland, that is, Lin Biao fled and fell to his death in the desert.

When Chiang Kai-shek learned that Lin Biao had broken the sand, he couldn't help but burst into tears. The reason why Chiang Kai-shek was in tears of sorrow was not because he was nostalgic for his friendship with Lin Biao's teachers and students, but because he had another hidden intention——— just when Lin Biao was making the most of the limelight and becoming a big hit, Chiang Kai-shek, who was living in Taiwan, said bluntly at a meeting of the Kuomintang Central Committee: "I don't believe that Lin Biao, a person, will be loyal." ”

After the meeting, Chiang Kai-shek's secretary, Tao Xisheng (a native of Huanggang and a fellow villager with Lin Biao), asked about the matter, and Chiang said, "You can check the archives of 1945. ”

At the end of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression in 1945, Lin Biao was ordered to go to Chongqing to meet Chiang Kai-shek and take the lead in negotiations between Chairman Mao Zedong and Chiang Kai-shek. When Lin Biao saw Jiang, he appeared to be respectful and respectful, and called him "Principal" in his mouth. Jiang said, "Do you Communists still let it be called that?" Lin Biao replied cautiously: "Although I am in the Communist Party, the headmaster will definitely know what I can do for the country in the future." In front of Chiang Kai-shek, Lin Biao did not dare to talk for a long time, and he said that there were some "opinions" that he wanted to talk about in detail through Chiang Kai-shek's confidants and then convey them to Chiang Kai-shek. Jiang immediately summoned Zheng Jiemin (also Huangpu Sheng), deputy director of the Military Command Bureau, and said in front of Zheng: "Classmate Lin Biao has some things to fully exchange views with you. Zheng Jiemin and Lin Biao then had a meal at a small restaurant on the banks of the Jialing River and had a long conversation for several hours. Subsequently, Zheng Jiemin submitted a long report to Chiang.
