In order to explore the establishment of a platform for public participation in the quality improvement of urban space, the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Planning and Natural Resources organized the "Community Affairs , Master Doing" project, selected projects with high attention such as pocket parks, garbage collection stations, substations, kindergartens, etc., invited 10 domestic and foreign masters to preside over the design, and built a series of design works such as the 110 kV Jinhan substation, the Lijiao Water Fire Rescue Station, the Qiaoxi Plot Supporting Primary School, and the Shahe Chung Bridge.

Recently, the expert review meeting of the final results of the project was held. The meeting invited Wang Jianguo, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Pan An, president of the Guangzhou Urban Planning Association, and Ni Yang, a national engineering survey and design master, to review the final plan of the design of 10 municipal demonstration projects.

The design of this demonstration project directly faces the difficult work in urban planning management and construction, and many of them have high design needs due to limited land use conditions. For example, the land area of Dongyuan Kindergarten is 1800 square meters, the land area of 110 kV Jinhan substation project is 1793 square meters, and the land area of the supporting primary school project of Qiaoxi Plot is 3840 square meters.

Located on the west side of the Guangzhou Bridge in Haizhu District, the Qiaoxi Plot Supporting Primary School Project is a corner idle land surrounded by high-rise residential areas, which is difficult to meet the land scale needs of 12 standard primary schools. The national engineering survey and design master Hu Yue team created a variety of activity spaces by setting up sunken courtyards, rooftop tracks, stadiums, landscape boardwalks, wind and rain playgrounds, etc. At the same time, through the integration of walls and building design and other techniques, the sense of spatial fragmentation is weakened.

The 110 kV Jinhan substation project is located above Guangzhou Metro Line 2 and Si Ma Chung, with small land and many restrictions. The team of internationally renowned architectSizaki Shin & Hu Qian, by building a 2.1-meter-high irregular geometric structure conversion platform above the base, formed a green slope around the platform, and the green slopes were interlaced and combined to form a geometric folding table. Then, a rectangular building shape is arranged on the sitting platform, and through the glass curtain wall facing the street, the electric energy is displayed to the public in the form of light and shadow, showing the charm of "electricity-light-shadow", so that the city's "bright" becomes an Internet celebrity punch card space.

It is understood that this year's demonstration project for the first time paid attention to the fire brigade, sanitation workers and other groups. The Lijiao Water Fire Rescue Station project invited Zhou Kai, a national engineering survey and design master, to create a tailor-made training and living space for firefighters.

The project is located in the east of Xinguang Expressway in Haizhu District, and is a municipal fire training center and a special fire station. The project land area of 7361 square meters, there are river surge, green line and other setback requirements, space cramped, in the limited land conditions, Zhou Kai team through refined design and reasonable functional layout, for the site equipped with water training pool, circular runway, training tower, training track, fire truck return and other necessary functional space.

The garbage collection station project of Guangchuan Phase I 341 is located at No. 40, Fangcun Avenue South, Liwan District, and there is a lack of resting places and office areas for sanitation workers around it. Song Gang is the co-founder of Guangzhou Shuliangshe Architectural Design Co., Ltd., and his team based on the three strategies of rebuilding the site characteristics of the Guangchuan garbage station, solving the site problems and stimulating the vitality of the site, combining the fluidity of natural light and building materials, establishing an epitaxial garbage station, living in harmony with the surrounding environment, and increasing the semi-open leisure space for sanitation workers to connect with nature.

In addition, this year, a number of urban public space and service facilities have been transformed and upgraded projects, such as Shima Village Villagers Square, Guangdong Yucai Kindergarten Second Courtyard Building, Siyou Xinma Road Shahe Yongqiao, etc., inviting Chen Yuezhong, founder of Yilan (Beijing) Planning and Design Co., Ltd., Shen Kang, dean of the School of Architecture and Design of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, and Wei Hong, master of engineering survey and design in Guangdong Province. With the "embroidery kung fu" micro-transformation design strategy, the square, building, landscape bridge, etc. are designed to promote the improvement of urban space quality and promote the "reverse growth" of the city.

Among them, the villager square of Shima Village is located near the South East Street of Shima Taoyuan in Baiyun District and the Desheng Neighborhood Committee, and the public space in the village is fragmented and the internal infrastructure of the ancient village is lacking. Chen Yuezhong's team considered the daily activities of the villagers, took the micro-space upgrading and transformation around the Hongsheng Ancient Temple as the starting point, and sorted out a traditional ancient village tourism line according to the historical protection sites and the first-class protected streets and alleys. Through the interpretation of spatial renewal and modern techniques, the Art Collection culture of Shima is integrated into the venue.
