The man was indeed the father of two children, named Zhang Jian. At the time of the accident, the child's mother, Chen Meilin, was still at work, and she suddenly received a call from her mother-in-law: "Come back, the child fell down the stairs!" Her brain went blank.
In February 2020, Chen Meilin and her husband Zhang Jian agreed to divorce, and both children were awarded to her, but the two agreed that the two-and-a-half-year-old daughter would be raised by Chen Meilin, and the younger son would be raised by Zhang Jian's mother before the age of 6. On October 25, Zhang Jian asked his mother to take the initiative to contact Chen Meilin and take Xuexue to his home, but because Chen Meilin was always present, Zhang Jian failed to commit a crime that day.
On November 1, Zhang Jian once again took the initiative to contact Chen Meilin to pick up Xuexue, and after Chen Meilin brought Xuexue to Zhang Jian's home, he left for dinner with friends, and Xuexue stayed at Zhang Jian's home that night. That night, Zhang Jian's mother was at home, and Zhang Jian did not commit a crime. At about 15:30 the next afternoon, Zhang Jian took advantage of his mother's outing to hold the two children who were playing in the second bedroom with their legs and threw the two of them together from the bay window of the second bedroom to the downstairs.
The content of the indictment shows that in April 2019, Zhang Jian filed for divorce from Chen Meilin on the grounds of emotional incompatibility, and after meeting with netizen Ye XX, he concealed his married and childatic identity to pursue Ye XX, and around August of the same year, Zhang Jian and Ye XX privately established a romantic relationship. On February 26, 2020, Zhang Jian and Chen Meilin agreed to divorce, and the two sides agreed that the daughter would be raised by Chen Meilin, the son would be raised by Zhang Jian before the age of six, and Chen Meilin after the age of six. Ye Moumou repeatedly told Zhang Jian that he and his parents could not accept the fact that Zhang Jian had children, such as Zhang Jian had children, and it was impossible for him to be with Zhang Jian. After that, Zhang Jian and Ye Moumou conspired to kill the two children through interviews, WeChat chats, etc. many times, and agreed to kill Xuexue and his brother by accidentally falling high.
