On the afternoon of October 29, the third "Belt and Road" Business Association Roundtable (Yancheng) Summit was held, and nearly 300 envoys from some countries along the "Belt and Road" such as South Korea, Japan, Russia, Thailand, Malaysia and domestic and foreign enterprises, institutions and business associations were invited to attend to discuss development prospects and share development opportunities.

The "Belt and Road" circle of friends is getting bigger and bigger
Since the belt and road initiative was proposed, China has adhered to the principles of consultation, joint construction and sharing, actively developed and deepened economic and trade cooperation with countries along the route, and is committed to building a community of common destiny with political mutual trust, economic win-win results and cultural tolerance. In the face of the complex and ever-changing international political and economic situation and the huge impact of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, China and the countries along the "Belt and Road" have stood by each other and overcome difficulties together, promoted the steady development of economic and trade cooperation, achieved remarkable results, and the circle of friends of the "Belt and Road" has also become larger and larger.
Promoting the construction of the "Belt and Road" is a major strategic decision made by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council in accordance with the changes in the global situation and the new situation and new tasks facing China's development, and coordinating the two overall situations at home and abroad. 2021 is the first year of the 14th Five-Year Plan, in response to the "14th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development of the People's Republic of China and the Outline of Long-term Goals for 2035" to jointly build the "Belt and Road" high-quality development, while promoting the "Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement" (RCEP), accelerating the readjustment of regional trade, investment and industrial layout, on October 29, 2021, the China Association for Asian Economic Development and the People's Government of Yancheng City jointly hosted the third "Belt and Road" Chamber of Commerce Roundtable (Yancheng) Summit.
Play the strongest sound of the "Belt and Road"
Quan Shunji, president of the China Association for Asian Economic Development, said that Yancheng, as an important node city of the "Belt and Road", contains unlimited development opportunities. The China-South Korea (Yancheng) Industrial Park has also played an important role in Sino-South Korean economic cooperation. He said that standing at this special point in time in the opening year of China's "14th Five-Year Plan", he hoped that everyone would take this summit as an opportunity to conduct in-depth exchanges, jointly build a new highland for Yancheng's opening up and cooperation, and sing the strongest voice of the countries along the "Belt and Road" towards a community of common destiny.
The summit invited relevant leaders, envoys of countries along the "Belt and Road" in China, representatives of industry business associations and representatives of the world's top 500 enterprises along the "Belt and Road" to participate, bring more opportunities to Yancheng through the conference, focus on building a new highland for Yancheng's opening up to the outside world and high-end industrial cooperation, promote the development of the "14th Five-Year Plan" to achieve a good start, implement a high level of opening up, and open up a new situation of win-win cooperation! During the summit, activities such as project signing and high-end dialogue were held. Scholars and guests from China, South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia and other countries and regions focused on the topic of "building a new highland of open cooperation and playing the strongest voice of the 'Belt and Road'", and carried out high-end dialogues on the prospects and impact of RCEP, the new development pattern of "double circulation", and the promotion of high-quality development of the "Belt and Road".
Yancheng is full of new vitality

The signing of the RCEP has ushered in a long-term positive for Yancheng's foreign trade, and Yancheng is also facing the superposition of national strategies such as the new development pattern of domestic and international dual circulation, the "Belt and Road", the integration of the Yangtze River Delta, and the China-South Korea (Yancheng) Industrial Park, and the next five years is an important strategic opportunity period for Yancheng to achieve the first place and leapfrog development. As the main front, main battlefield and main force of Yancheng's opening up and cooperation with the outside world, Yancheng Economic and Technological Development Zone is the core area of the integration of industry and city in the Sino-Korean (Yancheng) Industrial Park approved by the State Council. In recent years, Yancheng Economic Development Zone has taken the initiative to integrate into the construction of a new development pattern of "double circulation", highlighted the construction of China-South Korea (Yancheng) Industrial Park, focused on the three leading industries of automobiles, new energy equipment and electronic information, shouldered the new mission of building a highland for industrial development and creating a benchmark for open cooperation, and strived to build a successful example of international cooperation parks, established economic and trade relations with more than 170 countries and regions, gathered more than 800 foreign-funded enterprises, nearly 400 Korean-funded enterprises, Hyundai Kia, SK, the United States Dana, France Faurecia and a number of the world's top 500 enterprises settled down, successfully held three sessions of China-South Korea Trade and Investment Expo, approved the first batch of China-Japan-South Korea (Jiangsu) Industrial Cooperation Demonstration Park, China (Jiangsu) Pilot Free Trade Zone Linkage Innovation And Development Zone, becoming an important node in the construction of a "small cycle" between China, Japan and South Korea.
Liu Lijia, global partner and head of Lafarge Holly Group, and Park Zhengxuan, president of The Shanghai Branch of Woori Bank, praised Yancheng's good investment environment and said that they would seize the development opportunities of the "Belt and Road" and actively participate in the construction of important node cities of Yancheng's "Belt and Road" to achieve win-win development for both sides.
